He looked at me with awe in his eyes.

"Will you, Samantha lauve, be my wife?" Jaden asked me, as he pulled out a ring. It sparkled in the night sky, the moon shining down on it.

"I- I don't know..." His dimples disappeared as his smile fell.

"I'm kidding! Yes!" I cheered. Hi dimples had shown back up as he got up and hugged me, spinning me around.

Okay, I know what you're thinking. 'Aren't you supposed to start a story at the beginning?!' well, this is a different story. It's our story.

Basically jaden and I have always been together. Ever since we were 7. It was our first grade school year. I was the first one to talk to him. I guess you could say that I was more of an outgoing kid. The first time I saw him, I knew that I wanted to be his friend. Plus, he was DYING for a friend. He stood there all awkward like, looking around.

Age 7, 2008

"Hi!" I smiled as I walked up to him.

"Oh uh, hi." He looked at me with a weird look.

"I'm Sam! But my real name is Samantha!" I held out my hand with a straight arm. He smiled and shook it.

"I'm jaden. I'm uh, I'm new." He whispered. I laughed and smiled.

"I know. But it's okay cause I am too! Or I was, y'know I moved here last year." Our hands were still holding each other. I smiled as he didn't let go. He looked down at our hands and quickly pulled his hand back.

"Oh uh, okay." He scratched the back of his neck.

"Wanna be my friend?!" I asked him with excitement. He chuckled and looked at me.

"Sure." He smiled. I grabbed his hand and ran to the lounge area. His face was covered with fear as he fell.

"Ahh!" He yelled. I laughed as he fell over on top of me. I looked down to see him crawling away, blushing like crazy. He hid in the tub that was filled with pillows.

"That was embarrassing!" He yelled in a whisper. I giggled a bit and climbed into it with him. I grabbed his hand and pulled it a little.

"It's okay. I'm sure no one saw because they're all too busy with Chloe." I rolled my eyes.

"Whos chloe?" He asked me. I opened my eyes wide and my jaw went open.

"She's only like the most popular girl in school! Her dad's the mayor and her mom is unemployed. I used to be her best friend but then she started a rumour about me. Anyways, she's also the 'prettiest' girl in our grade. I think she's ugly but apparently every boy here thinks she hot." I rolled my eyes the whole time I rambled on.

"Oh okay. So she's the 'cher' of the school?" He asked. I looked at him with a huge grin.

"You watched clueless too?!" I asked him. He nodded and smiled.

"Woah. I've never met any boy that has ever watched clueless. Not even my step brother would watch it." He laughed at me as I was in shock.

"So, we should probably go and sit down at a desk, should we?" He asked me. I looked around the room to see some students sitting down.

"Yeah, probably." I got out of the tub and pulled his arm. I yanked him to a seat and sat down. He looked at me and smiled as he sat down.

"Okay class! Welcome to first grade! Today we are just going to be meeting each other and getting to one one another. We'll all play a game where you tell us something about yourself and what you like to do. We'll raise our hand if we have anything to say." The teacher explained.
