9:37 pm

I looked around as he parked the car. It was in the middle of nowhere. No buildings. No houses. Nothing. Not even a little park. It was just trees and grass. Jaden and I got out of the car. I followed him to the back of his jeep as he opened the door. Y'know, instead of a trunk it's a door- anyways.

I didn't ask any questions about where we were or what was going on. I just watched as he grabbed two outdoor pillows. He kicked the door shut and then started walking. I followed his lead, like I was a puppy that had just met her favorite owner. I walked through the forrest, feeling the leaves brush against my skin.

It smelt of river water and wild animals. He led us down a trail, steeping over ditches or tree branches. I brushed my hand over a tree that had curved over the path, as if it was a bridge for small animals to cross. I looked around, taking in the smell of lumber. My ears were filled with the noises of frogs and crickets. I watched as lightning bugs had started showing since it was dark.

I kept walking, not even looking in front of me. I came to a stop when I saw a huge creek. It had a small waterfall since there was a small hill on the other side. Jaden laid the pillows on the little wood deck. He turned around and as he did, I saw that smile that showed his dimples. He took off his shoes and laid them behind the pillow.

"What are you doing?" I asked, laughing a bit.

"Taking my shoes off." He chuckled. He then sat down on the pillow. I let out a soft giggle and took my shoes off too. I also took off my socks and laid them in my shoes. I walked up a bit and slowly sat down on the pillow, my feet slowly touching the water. I got chills as I felt the cold liquid touch my body.

Except for the goosebumps, I enjoyed the view. The night sky above the trees. The moon glistening off the water. The water gently moving. The crickets, the lighting bugs, everything. It felt so peaceful and calm.

"Jaden...this is all so..." I trialed off, trying to find the word to explain it.

"So calming. So beautiful. So peaceful." He finished for me.

"Yes actually." I let out a soft laugh. Jaden leaned back, his arms holding him up as his palms laid flat on the wood. His head fell as he let out a soft chuckle.

"I knew you'd like it." He looked up at me and smiled. That smile that could attract anyone now that I see it.

"It's gorgeous, Jaden." I smiled as I looked back out to the view.

"Like you." He whispered. I threw my head back as I let out a laugh.

"Okay Mr. Romance." I laughed.

"Hey, I know you like romance. Hell, after all those movies I've seen, it seems like all you like is romance because you cried at each one."

"I did not!"

"Yes you did!" He laughed.

"If I did cry it was because it was THAT time of the month but other than that, I did not cry once."

"Bullshit."

"Bullshit?" I asked him with a look as if I was being accused of something that I didn't do.

"Yes. Bullshit." He leaned up and rested his arms on the edge of the wood. The part our legs were dangling off of.

"Whatever." I tried to put on a mad look but as soon as I looked away, I felt the edges of my lips lift up. My arms stayed in my lap as I looked around.

"Why'd you bring me here?" I asked him, bringing my attention back to him.

"I uh, I thought of it as like a first date kinda thing." He looked down at his feet that were swaying back and forth in the water.

"Why didn't you just ask me?"

"I wanted it to be more of a surprise y'know." He looked up at me with a small smile.

"Well I think it's perfect." I smiled at him. He lifted his hand away from the deck to my chin, bringing it to him. I watched as his lips came closer. My heart rate sped up just from the sight of that. Hell, who thought that I'd ever fall for my best friend.

Just as I thought we were about to kiss, he stopped as our lips were only an inch away. We could feel each other's breath on one another. He quickly pulled away and dropped his hand.

"Wanna go for a swim?" He asked me. I watched as he hopped up from the deck and took off his shirt. The way he did was so smoothly. It was one swoop and it was over his head in 0.01 seconds.

"But what will we wear? I didn't bring a bathing suit." I looked up at him.

"In your underwear! Or you could wear your shirt. Or mine?" He held his shirt out to me. I let out a giggle and grabbed the shirt, hopping up at the same time. He kicked the pillows over a bit so they weren't as close to the edge as they were. He pulled down his sweats and laid them over one of the wooden post. I watched as he leaned against it, looking out into the water. I cleared my throat, catching his attention.

"What?" He asked.

"Nothing." I dropped his shirt onto my feet. I pulled my shirt off and then my shorts, leaving me in my bra and underwear. I then grabbed his shirt and put it on. I looked up to see Jaden grinning like crazy.

"You look like absolutely fabulous." He mocked a preppy girls voice. I laughed as I slowly stepped up to him. He slowly snaked his arms around my waist as I wrapped mine around his neck.

"So about the swim..?" I whispered as we both were looking at each others lips. But instead, he brought me closer and actually kissed me this time. My face heat up just at the touch and I could tell he felt it because he started smiling.

"Come on." He let go of my waist but grabbed my hand, leading me to the edge of the dock. The water was glistening. It looked like it was from a movie because it was so beautiful.

"On three okay?" I brought my attention back to him. I nodded and he began counting.

"One.." My legs began to shake.

"Two.." I whispered.

"Thr-!" I ran off the edge and into the water, leaving Jaden standing on the edge.
