𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚃𝚠𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚢 𝙾𝚗𝚎

Year Five

I rubbed my eyes trying to make myself wake up as I heard whispers down the hallway. I opened my door and saw my family, curious, I dragged myself down the hallway and joined their conversation. "What's going on?" I asked yawning. Mom looked at me and smiled as she cupped my cheek. "Good morning deary, I have breakfast on the table." I looked at everyone else confused.

"What's happening?" I asked again.

"Harry has a court hearing for performing a spell in front of muggles." Ron spilled.

"Why'd he do that?" I asked now awake.

"He was protecting his cousin from dementors." The twins spoke.

We made it to Sirius Black's place while the rest of our parent's friends retrieved Harry. We were ordered to go to our temporary room while the grown-ups talked. As we walked upstairs to our room, another room caught my eye. It was a room with a family tree on the wall. I spotted Sirius Black and then saw Bellatrix and Draco's mom. "Huh...Draco is related to Sirius Black." I mumbled to myself.

I left the room and walked into the kids' shared bedroom. Shortly after I walked in Harry walked in behind me. Everyone greeted him with a hug and asked him if he knew what the adults were talking about. "I have no clue." He shrugged. Fred and George all of a sudden got one of their famously 'What could go wrong' ideas. They pulled an ear out of their trunk and dangled it down the stairs in front of the door. "That's not real is it?" Harry asked.

"No, it's like a cup phone." Hermione explained.

"What's a cup phone?" I asked.

"It's a muggle thing." Harry said.

I nodded my head to show I understood. We were trying to listen but it was still a little too difficult to understand. Crookshanks and Willow ran into the hallway playing with each other and saw the dangling ear. They both batted at the ear with their paws as we tried to get them to stop. They wouldn't listen and pulled the ear off the string and ran away with the ear as the other cat tried taking it.

After dinner and discussions, the next day was Harry's court hearing. His hearing at the last minute was moved up to happen sooner. We all anxiously waited for his court hearing to come to an end so we could hear what had happened. It felt like ages had passed as we all waited. Once Harry came back from his hearing we were getting everything ready to go to Hogwarts.

"How'd it go?" I asked noticing Harry.

"Well.." He started with a disappointed look.

Our faces all dropped feeling bad for him. "Harry I'm so-" Hermione started. "All the charges were dropped!" He suddenly said with a happy face. We all cheered and brought him into a group hug.

We all waited at the gate for the carriage to come. Once the carriage was here Harry stared at it in disbelief. They all piled on the carriage as I pet the Thestral. "Ally come on." Ron groaned. "Sorry!" I said before getting on the carriage and sat next to Luna. "You're not mad, I see them too you know." She said looking from her newspaper to Harry. "I see them too." I admitted. This earned a smile from Luna.

At Hogwarts, we all listened to Dumbledore's announcements as we ate dinner. I held Draco's hand under the table and sat a little closer to him than usual. Once Dumbledore introduced Professor Umbridge I got an uneasy feeling from her. Especially since she took over Dumbledore's announcement. I leaned over to Draco and whispered. "I don't trust her." He leaned over and whispered his reply. "She seems like a control freak." This made me giggle and nod my head.
