In Between: Raising Hell

"I STILL think this was a bad idea." Brooklyn muttered, arms crossing over her chest as she felt the cold wind hit her uncovered arms.
They were heading to a downworlder party, which Magnus Bane was hosting. Isabelle had luckily snagged a couple tickets from her downworlder ties. Isabelle had also managed to force Brooklyn out of her regular clothing and into a tight, short dress and heels.
"You were the one who suggested it." Clary defended, "Besides you weren't the only one she forced into these clothes."
Clary glared lightly at Isabelle who was pestering Alec for the ruby necklace. The ruby necklace was the only thing they had found as payment towards Magnus Bane, which proved how desperate they were for his help.
Isabelle ignored the glared she was receiving and walked forward, smirking as she strutted up the stairs to the entrance to the party. Brooklyn and the others slowly followed, hesitant about their plan to be surrounded by downworlders while trying to make a deal with one!
Brooklyn gritted her teeth together, hand wrapping around the handle of her hidden dagger as she glared at her surroundings. Although shadowhunters and downworlders were...in a truce, Brooklyn still held a small dislike for some of the downworlders.
A scowl spread across her face as Brooklyn distastefully gaze at the downworlders in front of her. She then turned and faced Jace, asking him what they were supposed to do.
"Blend in, and keep your weapons ready." Jace muttered, moving past Brooklyn as his eyes rested on Magnus who stood with a group of downworlders near the bar.
Brooklyn opened her mouth as she reached out to stop Jace, wanting to warn him about how dangerous Magnus was but he was already gone. She huffed, mouth snapping shut as she turned to face Isabelle and Alec but they had followed Jace as well.
"Magnus!" Jace called, shoving his way towards the warlock.
Magnus smirked, moving his hands away from his...company, as he stood. "Now who invited three shadowhunters to a downworlder party..." He trailed off, eyes landing on a newly arrived Brooklyn, "Four." He corrects.
Clary glared at Jace before taking a step forward. Magnus fought back a gasp, gazing down at the ginger haired girl he once knew very well.
"Magnus Bane...the warlock who stole my memories." Clary began, glancing up at Magnus.
"At your mother's request." Magnus defended lightly, "She knew the risk." He continued, eyes glued to the necklace Isabelle wore, "Give me the jewelry, Shadowhunter."
Isabelle handed the necklace to Jace who held it towards Magnus, making sure to dangle it just far enough out of Magnus's reach.
Brooklyn frowned, noticing the lack of Alec's presence as she turned and looked for her friend. Alec was nowhere to be seen and Brooklyn assumed he was scouting the perimeter, like she hadn't of done it beforehand.
Brooklyn scowled as she turned back, annoyed that Alec hadn't of trusted her word but also a bit proud he had scouted as well. She gasped at Jace, lurching forward and snatching the necklace from him before Magnus could get it.
Magnus turned his glare on Brooklyn, "I need to confirm it's authenticity." He snapped, huffing when Brooklyn didn't listen.
She frowned, holding out the necklace which Magnus took. He looked over it and rose his hand, bright glows spreading over the ruby necklace.
