"Sometimes home isn't four walls, it's two eyes and a heart beat."

I didn't expect to see him again. It was abrupt and unexpected. My grandma told me not to expect things because then it is easier to be disappointed. She said to just let things fall into place but also fight for what you want. I never forgot those words of wisdom.

When I saw him it was like seeing someone you have known for years, but he had only spoken to me once. I was at this record shop where my friend, Conrad works. He lets me listen to free records all day while reading and in return I buy him coffee. He's like a coffee addict- he literally cannot function without it. I had a tiny crush on Conrad but it was nothing compared to how I felt about Luke. All day listening to music I wanted to dance. I just couldn't stand tapping my foot anymore and I had to dance to Under The Bridge by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

"The barista can dance too?" Luke said from behind me. I turned around quickly and stubbling into his arms. I blushed and my heart was pounding but I felt like I was at ease... it's hard to explain. I picked myself up.

"If thats whats you call dancing," I laughed. He smiled and stood there awkwardly. Typical Luke. "Are you looking for any specific artist?" I asked.

"Actually no. Just browsing. Do you work here also?"

"No, I just hang out here in my free time. I know the place by heart. Now that I think about it, I probably should work here." I smiled. He was dressed in his normal outfit band tee and black jeans but his hair was tucked under a blue beanie. Always so handsome, I thought.

I, on the other hand, looked horrible. No make-up, my hair was arranged in a messy side braid, I was in a oversized flannel with leggings and chucks. The way he was looking at me though, made me feel beautiful.

"Whats your favorites?" He asked, truly interested. You should not have gone there.

"Do you want to be here for an hour?" I asked half-jokingly and the other half was dead serious.

"As long as I'm with you I'm happy," he whispered in my ear. He was smiling when I faced him. I searched his face for any sign of sarcasm but he was serious. If any other boy had said that to me I would have died laughing but, when he said it I felt like donating my heart to him forvever. I know I blushed but, I had to keep it cool.

"Me too," I squeaked out. Way to keep it cool.

We spent longer than an hour together. Try the rest of the day. I showed him all my favorites and he was impressed then he showed me his. After that he asked if I wanted to go get something to eat and I didn't even need to think, I said yes. After eating pizza he took me to this cliff and we watched the sunset. We just talked the whole time. I felt like I could tell him anything. He told he couldn't talk to anyone like he could with me. I felt honored and like I mattered to someone.

I knew on that cliff that I would never feel this way with anyone else. I wasn't nervous at all, I felt like I was at home. The way he looked at me was like I was some sort of precious treasure. He had only known me for one day but we had shared almost everything about each other.

He kissed me. It was perfect. His lips were warm and inviting. His lip ring only made it more awesome. There weren't any sparks, it was so much more amazing than that. You know that feeling when you put warm pajamas on and you crawl into bed while, listening to fantastic music and you get that feeling. It felt like that but it also felt like I was on a rollercoaster and it felt like I was jumping off a cliff. It was all of those mixed together. I never want to stop feeling that. Once he stopped, it felt like I was wanted and I had never been wanted by anyone. He walked me to my apartment and kissed me goodnight.

I walked into the apartment touching my lips in disbelief. Then the lights flashed on and there stood Riley, looking like a parent scolding there teenager for being out too late.

"Where have you been?" she asked cocking an eyebrow. Thats when it hit me. This is real. Luke kissed me. I started jumping up and down squealing while, Riley giggled asking what? I told her every thing, every detail, as a best friend should.

That night was the night everything changed. I thought for good.
