"I still remember the feeling that I felt when I first talked to you."
♡♡♡
-Usually, you fall in love with someone in your highschool years, but mostly in your college years. Not for me though. I just didn't give people the time of day. You see, I'm not a "people" person. The only person who truly gets me is my bestfriend, Riley. We are total opposites, but hey apparently "opposites attract." We share some things in common ,which may be why she can handle me. When we were 12 we made a pact saying, "if we were still friends when we turn 18 we would leave Oklahoma and move to New York." I have always wanted to leave Oklahoma. It offered me nothing there. No band frequently visits Oklahoma. ( 😉 ) When I hit the big 1-8 I was still friends with Riley. We gathered all our savings and moved to the big apple. Our parents were of course, sad, but they understood. We were now free and had our own rules.Sadly, the apartment resembled a box with only one room. I didn't mind though its not like we could do much better. I did online college so, that ruined my chances of meeting my soulmate in college. My degree is in English because I have a knack for journalism. I'm weird I guess because I barely go outside. I spend most of my time on social media stalking bands, talking to my internet friends, or watching netfilx. When I do go outside it is usually to go eat or go to the cafe on the corner. Riley was worried about me, I could tell.
I knew I needed to do something to get out there. So, I did the logical thing. I got a job. The cafe on the corner accepted my job application. I shouldn't have worked there because now everytime I walk past that tiny cafe I think of him.
