"Noona, come, I'll walk you home," Eddy offers. It's Friday so work ended earlier than any other days.
"No, today's good Eddy-yah. I came with my bike. And it's still bright out there. I'd be fine," April smiles rejecting the kind offer.
"You sure, noonanoona~~?" Eddy, this punk, so cute. April thought. She laughs hearing Eddy's whine, "Yeah, I'm perfectly fine. You go ahead. Ah- and I have to pick up Kang Soo too,"
Eddy smiles sheepishly, "Alright then. See you Monday!" April nods, waving goodbye.
She takes her bike from where it was parked and puts on her safety helmet, getting ready to ride away. Usually, the helmet makes a clicking sound, but this time, it doesn't, but the girl dismisses it, too lazy to recheck. The moment she puts her feet on the pedal, ready to cycle, she felt something tugging from behind, stopping her movement. She instantly turn around.
"Heyyoo!" someone greets a bit too cheerful. "Oh heyyy," April returns the greet.
"You know there's a lot more way to say hello than tugging one's bike from behind. If I fell off just now, I'm gonna sue you," April smirks to the guy that's now in front of him.
"Oh well then I guess I have to proceed with the case of someone's physically assaulted me and leave my beautiful face with a painful bruise," Jungkook pretends but couldn't hide his wide smile.
"Sod off!" April scrunches her nose in disgust hearing the man bragging about his beautiful face. True enough tho. They then laugh in unison.
"So, you're going home, Miss April?" Jungkook asks. Secretly wishing she could linger a bit more.
"Yeah, Mr Jeon. And I also have a little brother waiting for me to pick him up but apparently one thug decided to stop me, so if I'm late, the thug should know he'd be dead the next time we meet," April pretends too look at her watch. Jungkook laughs aloud.
'It's always great to hang out around her,' Jungkook thought. The last time of their encounter was more than a week ago and he's been too busy with work outside the building to come and visit. Meeting her now, even just for a brief moment, puts his heart at ease. Feels like she could take all his tiredness away, just by showing her lovely smile.
"Ah, I'm scared now," Jungkook replies to the girl's threat. Pretending to put his hand to his heart in pain. They both laugh again in unison. "Weirdo," April replies between her laugh.
"So, did you just say hello to annoy me, Mr Jeon?" April asks.
"Yep sure, why else did you think I waste my energy running down from level four, guessing it was around time the cafe closes for the day, and perfectly bumps into someone about to ride her bike away?" Jungkook smirks while looking into the distance.
April couldn't believe what she heard. "You wouldn't!" she playfully slaps the man's shoulder. Jungkook just laughs.
"Yeah, no. I was coming down to take some fresh evening air, and totally coincidentally saw you," Jungkook winks.
"Oh my God, you're a total flirt, and a bigger weirdo than I thought you were," April rolls her eyes but can't help laughing listening to the guy's words.
"Well- too bad Mr Jeon, I really gotta go now, or I'd be late and you know what happens to you if I'm late right?" April shakes his head trying to contain her laughter. She too, feels very great and amused to hang around the guy in front of him. Feels like they were friends for a long time already. Such funny guy.
Jungkook feels a bit disappointed knowing he can't hold her any longer. As much as he wants to hang around her more than anything right now, he shouldn't let her younger brother waits. "Who are you picking up? The ARMY brother?" Jungkook jokes.
"Wahahaha. That one can find his way home by himself. It's the 'handsome hyung' brother," they laugh, remembering how Kang Soo kept wanting to touch Jungkook's face the night they met.
"Alright then, I'll see you around Jungkook, nice talking to you, weirdo," April is about to ride when again, the man stops her. She looks at him weirdly.
With solemn look, Jungkook reaches out his hand towards April's helmet and helps her clicks it properly. "Take care," Jungkook says, giving out a genuine sweet smile.
April blushes with the sudden interaction. Strangely sweet. "Thanks a lot. You take care too. See you," she replies while also showing a lovely smile. Then she pedals away with a fluttered heart.
Jungkook watches her longingly until she's no longer visible, turning around into the corner of the street. He smiles remembering again the brief moment they just shared. Sighing as the moment he's really fond of has ended, Jungkook walks into the building with the most content feeling.
