“April. 22 years old,” the manager starts to read her profile. His eyebrows almost connect with one another while reading the rest of the documents in the resume.

“You’re very young. Why do you want the job?” he asked the petite girl in front of him.

“Well, besides the ones I've explained earlier, I have my reasons,” April replies, quite annoyed by the fact that she just explained her whole family fortune (or in her case 'un-fortune'), but then getting asked a question she would've given the same answer to.

'Well- I have mouths to feed, if you'd paid attention just now, you'll save the energy of asking again,' her heart swells with the genuine answer she had in mind but her physics showed smile.

“Hm well, I guess there's no reason not to hire you. You seems fit enough," the manager hands over the file back to her.

April takes it and smiles, "That's amazing, sir. Thank you so much,”

While smiling to hear the girl’s remark, the manager said, “Okay then. You can start away tomorrow… ah, by the way, you do know how to make English toast, right?”

Smiling, the girl replies, “I'll gladly say that's my expertise, sir."

A/n: This is it... The very first chapter. Very short and lame, right? Huhuhu. I'll try my best for the rest of the story. Anyway, thanks again for reading, love yall!
