Sunday. Most probably her favourite day of the week. Weekend, plus she got to spend time singing her heart out on the street. Usually she'd sing both days on the weekend but yesterday April decided to take the day off. She's actually glad she did. It felt like ages since the whole family last spent time together. Was a great distraction for the girl too.
"Kang Woo-yah I'm leaving!" she shouts before locking the front door. Even though it's her favourite day of the week, the weather was not as sunny as she thought it would be. But she doubts it would rain soon. Maybe it's just the skies' that's not fully awake. She hops on her bike and heads town, aiming for a place that's not really bustling. Just want to have a chill day. Plus, a great stress reliever, to just sing without having to face so many people. She knows a perfect place for that.
Upon arrival, she takes her guitar out and sets up the place. After warming up and finished tuning, she starts to sing her first song. Finishing the song, April's about ready to start with a second one, but her strung was distracted by a tap on the shoulder. She turns around to see a familiar face.
"How'd you know I'd be here?" April asks the man in front of her, delighted to see the face.
"I stopped by your house, Kang Woo told me," Kyle smiles. April returns her friend's smile. She felt thousands of relief inside as she imagined it'd be awkward to face Kyle, but it seems everything's alright after all. Guess it's true, they've been friend long enough for it to be ruined just like that.
April and Kyle talks a bit more without realizing there's a pair of eyes watching them from afar. The eyes haven't stopped watching April since she first got there. And now he sees a man joining her, he watches them more intensely.
"Who's that wanker huh?" he mutters to himself under the mask he's been wearing. He takes off his sunglasses and continues watching the two.
'They both are talking now huh... oh no, they seems to be arguing, oh wait- this is bad. Uh oh- not on my watch...' the man has been narrating the scene occurring in front of him all by himself like some lunatic. People who were passing by the guy would think he's someone's not in the right mind.
"I don't want to say this after years we've been apart, but you remember what I think about you street singing like this, right?" Kyle asks the girl in front of him.
"Oh God. Not this again. You know very well I really appreciate your thoughts but it didn't matter what you think, right? We don't have to go through this again, bro" April rolls her eyes.
"I've said this before and I say it again. I can help you with your debts, April. You're my precious friend, I can help you, just let me," Kyle puts his one hand on her shoulder, trying to talk her through.
"Kyle," April brushes his hand off. "I appreciate it, I do. But please let me handle things myself. I have everything under control. I can do this. It's just a matter of time, but it's fine. We're doing fine," April shakes her head. "And fyi, I'm not doing this solely for money, Kyle. It's just a hobby. I enjoy doing it. I love it. I don't want to talk about this anymore, if you mind,"
April takes a step back from the man, but he takes her hand and now grips both her shoulders. "Kyle... not right here, not right now," April tries to get away but his grip tightens. "Listen, April..."
"I believe the lady wants you to let go," a voice comes from afar and pushes Kyle's hand away. Both April and Kyle are shocked to see the presence. The 'stranger' pulls away his mask, revealing his face.
"Jimin!" April's voice echoes along the street.
