That day when they returned after a good twenty minute ride in the Royal Enfield, Akbar passed a comment to Sidharth silently. Shehnaaz could not listen but she wasn't blind, she could see Akabr eyeing Sidharth every time, when he was talking to her. What was it about? Anyway related to her? She wanted to ask.... But didn't know how to ask, what if they weren't talking about her? It could just be their guy thing. She ignored the thought and enjoyed her Sunday in their company. In Sidharth's company, she has been enjoying a lot lately. Along with the realization that she was getting habitual of it. Jogging, terrace walk, drives weren't just meant to relax but to spend time together. She could talk about anything and everything with him and trust him with her secrets. Have fun. Chill out. And it was a great feeling overall. The growing affection or infatuation, whatever it was. She just loved being around him, that's it. The coming week brought them shit loads of work to them, both Sidharth and Shehnaaz engrossed themselves in hospital and School respectively.
She was in the library of the school, correcting the assignment notebooks of 6th and 7th standard students. She heard some giggles from the other tables, while shuffling through the pages. They were senior students, a bunch of girls and boys sitting together, they all zipped their mouths as she shushed them.
"Silence please.." and continued her check. Done with it, she strolled around looking for reference books to set question papers for random class tests and upcoming unit tests, skipping the lunch time. Because the 5 days leave she had overloaded her. And she went on with taking classes and notebook correction.
At the Dropbeat academy, she was auditioning for a performance for an upcoming event. A fest was being organized in this Monsoon season. This time she was really excited about it, being taught by additional choreographers for the Dance fest and performing on a large scale.
"Gill.. Come here.." Komal, the choreographer, called her to a corner.
"Yes mam?" she obliged.
"You're in.." she said.
"You mean selected? Thank you so much mam!" she squealed, so happily, almost wanting to hug the person in front of her. But Komal gave her a cold look, "Semi classical kyu chhod rahi ho? Ye.. Western dance.. Hip hop.. Ballet..pasand aa gaya kya?" she asked.
"Nahi mam.. Chhoda nahi.. Bas yaha aake naye forms seekhna chahti hu.." she answered.
"You're here to get trained.. Sab seekho lekin focus ek pe rakho.. Monsoon fest me karogi perform?" Komal asked.
"Hanji! Bilkul karna chahti hu.. Aap sikhaoge?" Shehnaaz asked, with hope filled eyes. Komal nodded, making her jump inside with sheer excitement. Sidharth was going through one of his patient's reports after an operation. His phone buzzed in his coat, it was his mother.
"Hey Mom..Kab aa rahe ho vapas?" he received it flipping through the pages.
"Good to know you missed me.. Mai aaj aa gayi wapas.." RitaJi chuckled, answering him.
"Ha toh! I come on weekends aur aap tabhi chale jate ho Pune.." he complained like a kid to her mother, indeed he was one.
"Acha? Didn't I ask you to come along? Pune kitna dur hai?" she asked. RitaJi visits her brother's family in Pune often, also she had asked her son to join her and catch-up with his uncle, but he couldn't take out time for that.
"Abhi chhodo na ye sab.. I'll see you tonight.." he brushed off her question, he wasn't interested in get-togethers until and unless it were legit family functions. It was a Wednesday and it had been a busy day.
