"Sana!" Arohi shrieked, turning off the gas knob as boiled tea spilled all over the kitchen counter and her roommate just stood there, lost somewhere deep in thoughts.

"Oh shit! Sorry.. Mai abhi saaf kar ke dobara chai bana deti hu.." Shehnaaz muttered, looking for a kitchen cloth to clean up the platform.

"Dhyaan kaha tha tera?" Arohi asked, placing her hands over her hips, it was usually the other way around. When she would mess up the kitchen and her roommate would scold her.

"Bas kuch soch rahi thi.." Shehnaaz answered while wiping the platform.

"Are you okay? Tabiyat kharab hai? Tera chehra itna feeka feeka lag raha hai... " she asked again, touching her forehead.

"Thik hu.. Bas kal ulti ho gayi thi.." she answered.

"Oh! Kab? Kaise? Kuch dawai li tune phir?" Arohi threw questions one after one.

"I'm fine now! Hatt abhi chai bana ne de.." Shehnaaz rolled her eyes and placed the saucepan to prepare the tea again.

"Mat bata.. Kal party me gayi thi na tu? Zyada pi li thi tune.. I know.. You have a drinking problem Sana.. Health pe aa jaye itna mat piya kar.." Arohi lectured, actually concerned. "Aur tera vo doctor kaha tha..jiske sath tu gayi thi? Why didn't he stop you?" she added.

"Who is he to stop me? Tera vo doctor matlab? Vo mera kuch nahi lagta Arohi!" Shehnaaz snapped at her sharply. The mere mention of Sidharth boiled her blood, he was nothing more than a cheap minded chauvinist and a deceitful prick.

"Okay..okay.. I'm sorry!" Arohi said, raising her hands in defeat. Shehnaaz calmed down thinking there was no need to shout at her friend.

"Just don't mention him ever again.." she said simply.

Arohi nodded and asked, "Need a hug?" spreading her arms, they might have broken up, she thought. Shehnaaz readily hugged her, seeking the warmth and closed her eyes. Those were welling up.

"Did he hurt you?" Arohi whispered and received a silent nod from her.

"Should I kill him for you?" she whispered again, making her chuckle.

"Oye..chai is ready!" she warned her before the tea could spill over again. The two sat comfortably in the living room, just talking about work and stuff. Arohi noticed her roommate was unusually quiet and she had definitely cried all night was evident by her feeble voice. But she let her be when she wasn't willing to share.

They went to their respective workplaces during the day, school and dance were good enough to keep her occupied as she didn't get time to check her phone. Except in the evening, when she was practising, her phone buzzed inside her bag. It was a call from 'Padosi', she immediately declined his call and blocked his number. Why was he calling her now? Was there anything left that he might have forgotten last night in his speech? Why would he call such a.. Shameless.. That was the word right! Why would he call this shameless girl now? Or did he still want to know the details about what she doing inside the washroom with his friend? She stared her phone screen as the number of missed calls by Padosi kept increasing. She thought for a while and then blocked him on whatsapp too. Cutting every possible way to stay in contact with him, if it helped.

"Hello! Shehnaaz!? Kaha khoyi hai?" Ana called out loud, gaining her attention and bringing her back to earth.

"Ha? Yeah.. Nothing.. Just scrolling.." she shrugged, shoving her phone back in her bag.

"Yaar tu semi classical karegi Komal ke under?! Wow!! Mehnat karna.. She's a hard nut to crack lekin usko impress kar liya toh boss.. She can get you like a hike or something.." Ana revealed, making her eyes wide.
