- Chris Evans POV -

Katie and Scarlett had arrived, they both looked scared as hell and how to blame them. Y/N was the mother of Katie's child and she was Scarlett's girlfriend, their reaction was only fair.

Sebastian was doing his best to comfort his sister and surprisingly, Mrs. Chastain was calm, she was flipping through a magazine as if her only child hadn't been in a car crash.

I went over to her and she looked at me.
" Chris, come sit"

I sat next to her and frowned " Can I ask you something Jessica, how come you are so calm? Why aren't you freaking out?"

" Because I know my daughter and she's okay, she is probably up and flirting with a nurse or a doctor, this is not the first time she does something reckless and I'm sure she's okay"

I was about to reply when I saw Lexie walking over to us.
We all got up from our seats and she smiled until she saw Scarlett.

" Y/N was in a car-crash, but she's apparently okay, she did lose an impressive amount of blood, she had a broken leg, she has a bruised rib and a slight concussion, she's okay but she has to stay here for a few days in order for us to monitor her" Lexie said and looked at Katie.

" I'm sorry, I don't think we met, I'm Lexie Montgomery-Shepard"

" Katherine McGrath, but just call me Katie" she said and they shook hands.

Lexie looked at us again " Y/N needs to rest, but you can go and see her if you promise me, you won't get her mad or freak her out, "

We all nodded and started to follow her towards a room, we all walked in and I smiled when I saw Y/N sitting on the bed with a smile on her face.

" You are an idiot" I said and went over to my best friend who smiled.

" I am" she said and we hugged each other.

She looked around and her smile faded when she saw Scarlett, but she didn't comment on it and I decided to not point it out. She looked at my girlfriend and smirked.

" Miss Atwell, what a pleasure seeing you again" she said and patted the bed.

Hayley sat down " it's good to see you too, even if this was not how I imagined to see you, you still look hot"

" Do I? Thank you, what are you doing here? "

Hayley looked at me and I nodded.
" I'm dating Chris, he wanted to tell you and tell Scarlett today but you are in a hospital bed so things didn't go as planned"

Y/N nodded " this whole day didn't go as planned, " she frowned and stood quiet for a moment.

" Katie, where's Levi?"

" I left him home, I asked Mrs. Alwyn to look after him for a bit" she said and I could see the relief in Y/N eyes.

" That's good,"

I found it odd that she had yet to talk to Scarlett or look at her, something felt was wrong but I didn't know what yet.

Y/N fell into a conversation with everyone but she didn't even bother to reply to Scarlett's questions, who, after a while got upset and left the room.

I followed her and I found her crying in the hallway.

I immediately hugged her and she hid her face into my chest " I'm such an idiot"

" Why would you say that? You are brilliant" I replied and she shook her head.

" I cheated on Y/N..."

I stopped but I didn't let go of her, " what... Why... Why would you cheat on Y/N, she loves you more than anyone in this world"

" I know okay, but I can't, I can't do this, I can't let go Colin out of my mind, I think... I think I love him" she said and I took a deep breath.

" Is that all?" I asked and she shook her head. " I'm pregnant Chris... But I don't... I don't know if... "

" You don't know if Y/N is the mother of your child or if Colin is... "

She nodded and I kissed the top of her head.
" It's okay, we will figure this out, everything is going to work out"

Once Scarlett had calmed down we walked back into the room, Y/N looked at us and I felt a shiver go down my spine.

Her eyes were completely empty, there was no love, no hate, nothing.

Scarlett had finally broken her.
