Vanitas x OC : The Moon's curse

"What on earth is love ?"

Vanitas put a hand to his chest. "Now you wound me Iona !" He exclaimed dramatically. "And for the record, I will answer only one question a day." He informed her.

"What !? But you answered two just now !" She argued.

"Because I was surprised by your interest in our relationship. And here I thought you were falling in love with me..." He sighed dejectedly.

The girl hummed to herself before looking at him. "Wouldn't you like that ?" She asked before going ahead.

Vanitas stared at her back before chuckling to himself. "Well since I said I would answer one question a day, I guess it's alright if I wasn't completly honest this once." He mumbled to himself.

"I don't really hate you... So I guess I just want to stay by your side."

The night had fallen, everyone had met up to the sound of music being played. Jeanne, Luca and Cyndelle were wearing their cloak with Cyndelle hiding herself under the hood.

"Things got lively as soon as the sun went down." Vanitas commented, looking at the people dancing to the music.

Noé took a glance at Jeanne's face and was about to called her but Dominique grabbed the bourreau's arm. "Jeanne ! Let's go dance !" She said, dragging the shorter girl. Jeanne, as much as Noé, Vanitas and Cyndelle, were surprised by the situation.

Everyone stared at the two girls dancing before Cyndelle turned to Luca. "Luca ! Let's go dance too !" She exclaimed with a childish grin, taking the young boys' hands in hers, her hood falling off.

"Eh !? But...!" The little boy didn't know what to say to protest as the two men stared at, this time, Cyndelle dragging Luca to come dance with her.

"Come on it's fine ! We are just dancing." She reassured him, her smile still full of childish excitement.

The young vampire blushed, not expecting that before he nodded, smiling back at the girl. "You're right !"

Now it was only Noé and Vanitas to watch a girl duo dancing gracefully while the other was giving off an aura of childish amusement, laughing as they danced.

"...Don't you want to dance with Jeanne ?" The tanned vampire asked, breaking the silence between them.

"I'm not all that good at dancing." The human answered. "I'd feel bad for Jeanne if I accidentally trod on her foot." He added with a faraway look, his gaze on Cyndelle and Luca.

"Aaarrrggh ! Come on ! I swear if you're not doing an effort and step on my foot one more time ! I'll drink your blood until there is nothing left !"

Vanitas remembered an angry feminine voice yelling at him along with a certain young girl face, glaring at him with fury in her eyes and hissing at him like a cat. A comparison that, now that he thought about it, suited perfectly the girl he remembered just now.

Noé looked at Vanitas as the doctor seemed to be lost in his own thoughts.

"...............In that case...
...Shall I....
...Teach you ?" The vampire seemed to hesitate, pausing between his words.

The unexpected offer got Vanitas out of his thoughts and turned to stare at Noé.

"Hm. I suppose... I'll take you up on that." The human agreed after a moment of silence, taking Noé's hand.
