"...Why did you follow us, human ?" She asked Vanitas.

He smirked at her. "Because I knew you wanted to separate Noé and me."

Dominique didn't react at that.

"And also..." Vanitas continued. "I didn't like you stealing Iona away from me like that." He said the rest in a whisper and since he turned his head to look at her, I couldn't see the look on his face but I saw the surprised expression on Dominique's one.

"What did you say Vanitas ?" I inquired at the man next to me.

He turned to me before giving me a smile. "Nothing Iona~"

I kept staring at him before tilting my head and giving him a pout. "I want to know." I said softly.

He blinked at me before leaning over and put a finger to his lips making me curious. "Sorry but it's a secret." He ended his sentence with a wink.

This time I was the one to blink before crossing my arms. "Fine."

Noé was the first to get outside, to me it wasn't so different from the other Paris but it was still beautiful. Noé had the same look on his face from when we first saw Paris.

"Wha... That's your reaction in this world too !?" Vanitas wondered looking at him.

"He lived very, very deep in the forest, you see. It's really no wonder." Dominique explained.

"...No matter when I visit, this town never changes." Vanitas commented. "Altus Paris, the other Paris..." He turned to me. "And you Iona ? Have you ever come here before ?"

I put a finger on my chin as I thought about it before looking at him to answer. "Maybe once or twice, this is why I'm a little amazed by this place I would say." I explained with a small smile.

We looked at Noé looking everywhere. "Don't wander off, Noé." Vanitas told him.

I nodded in agreement. "I don't want things to happen like last time."

"It's fine, he's on a leash." Domianique said.

"Oh. Is that why that's there ?"

"Oh I understand now." We said at the same time with Vanitas.

"I have a carriage waiting just over there. Follow me." Dominique told us.

"Dominique. Noé told us that his teacher is your grandfather. In other words..."

"...Ah. You know about my grandfather, then ?" She asked.

"Not in detail. All I know is that other vampires call him "The Shapeless One," and that they're afraid of him." Vanitas answered.

"I only heard as much about him." I said.

"That Noé... Here I thought he was just a bumpkin, but he has ties to great aristocrats like the De Sades... Is his appearance also deceiving ? Are his parents actually lords of the other world or something ?" Vanitas questionned.

"...No. No. Noé is..."

"... Domi. Isn't this carriage a bit too big ? You said we were going to a ball, right ?"

"You can't possibly be planning to go dressed like that." Vanitas and I heard on the other side of the door since we were waiting outside.

From what I could hear, Dominique gave her blood to Noé, at that Vanitas had a thoughtful expression on his face.
