"Talk"

'Thought'

A young boy was crying and a short green haired boy came to defend that boy and said, "You're making him cry, Kacchan! If you keep on hurting him... Uhh... I'll, uhh... I'll stop you myself!"

Then the sandy blonde boy said, "You want to pretend to be a hero? You don't stand a chance with your weakass Quirk... Its not even a real quirk you just have a increased healing factor. Deku."

Flashback end...

Here's the sad truth. All men are not created equal. When I was four years old, I learned that some kids have more power than others. But that won't hold me back. If anything, it pushes me to do better. The first incident was in Qing Qing City. An extraordinary child was born who radiated light. After that, reports to people with superpower popped up all across the globe. No one knew what was causing this quirks. Before long, the supernatural became the totally normal. Dreams a reality. The world became a superhuman society with about 80% of the population possessing some uncanny ability. Our streets looks like scenes from comic books. A city swirled with chaos and confusion, a new profession dominated our collective consciousness. It was a age of heroes. With the rise of superpowers, came an explosive increase in criminal activity. While governments were stuck trying to figure out how to reform law with quirks in mind, courageous people started performing heroic acts to keep our cities safe. Protecting us against villains who abuse their power for evil. With overwhelming public support, heroes found an official place as peacekeepers, overseen by the government. Those who perform the best will be paid the most and got all the fame and glory. Their career is dependent on their abilities to stay in the spotlight.

20 years ago, after "the Gate" that connected the real world with the monster world opened, some of the ordinary, everyday people used their quirks to hunt monsters within the Gate. However, not all Heroes are powerful. My name is Izuku Midoriya, an E-rank Hero. I'm someone who has to risk his life in the lowliest of dungeons, the "World's Weakest". Having no skills whatsoever to display, I barely earned the required money by fighting in low-leveled dungeons... As the gates also appeared some people have gotten another quirk again... But that happened itself is a low chance it self.

Now quirks are ranked from E being the lowest and S being the highest with other tiers within S to describe the power of the S rank.

Rank E Hero, Izuku Midoriya.

No matter where he went, this title always followed him around.

Izuku's overall strength was almost the same as a regular human being. With the exception of being a bit stronger and his wounds healing slightly faster, Izuku was about the same as regular people in every other aspect.

It was par for the course then, that he'd always end up getting injured. He nearly died several times, too.

Of course, it wasn't as if Izuku Midoriya liked being a Hero.

The work was dangerous, others made fun of him, and to confound the matters even further, the pay was pretty pathetic, as well.

If it weren't for the medical aid paid out by the Hero Association to the Hero in their "payroll", he'd have turned in his hero license and quit by now, and live his life like a regular person.

Unfortunately, someone like Izuku Midoriya, who was 15 and lacking in any tangible job skills, there was no other way but to remain as a Hero if he wanted to pay for his mother's hospital fee of hundred thousands of yen every month. Then also provide for his little sister that was 3 years younger than him.
