It had been a month since Girlfriend's father allowed her to live with Boyfriend in the human world. Boyfriend had gotten used to daily life with her, and was glad that his new roommate was there to stay.
"Boyfriend!" Girlfriend called. Boyfriend looked up from his newspaper and at her. "Am I the best maid in the world?" She asked, pointing to herself. This gave Boyfriend a puzzled expression.
"Uh... You're a good one, but I don't know if you're the best in the world. What's up?" Boyfriend replied.
"Well, I think I am. Look." Girlfriend said, and showed Boyfriend a magazine. It was a brochure for a maid cafe. "They say they welcome you with the best maids!" She said.
"Yeah?" Boyfriend asked.
"How could they make such false claims without me?!" Girlfriend exclaimed. She headed for the door. "That cafe is pretty close to us." She began. "I'll just have to burn them to ash from which nothing with grow!"
"Don't do that." Boyfriend responded.
"I'm still going to scout out the enemy!" Girlfriend said, and sped out the door. Thirty minutes later, Boyfriend looked at the clock. Girlfriend hadn't been back for a long time.
"Is she okay?" He asked. Almost immediately after he started worrying about her, Girlfriend busted through the door.
"I'm back!" Girlfriend said.
"You didn't do anything extreme, did you?" Boyfriend asked her.
"Somehow, I wound up working there!" Girlfriend replied, giving him a thumbs up.
"How?!" Boyfriend asked, bewildered. Girlfriend giggled.
"I stormed the enemy's evil den..." She began.
"Evil den?" Boyfriend repeated.
Flashback
"Pardon me!" Girlfriend said, entering the maid cafe. A maid looked at her.
"Are you here for an interview?" She asked. Another maid approached her.
"You're awfully motivated wearing a maid outfit already." The other maid said, noticing Girlfriend's outfit.
"You're pretty, too!" A third maid said. The manager of the cafe came out of nowhere and grabbed Girlfriend's hands.
"You have conquered me with your zeal. You're hired!" She said.
End of Flashback
"... So, I returned victorious!" Girlfriend said, finishing her story.
"Are you sure you want this job?" Boyfriend asked.
"Well, I have had a lot of free time on my hands while you're at work." Girlfriend said. Boyfriend shrugged and went back to his newspaper
It had already been a week since Girlfriend started working at the cafe. Boyfriend thought about her as he was walking home from work.
"I wonder how she's doing at her job..." He said.
After Girlfriend's Job
"You quit?!" Boyfriend asked in disbelief.
"I didn't want to be anyone else's maid. Just yours." Girlfriend replied. "However, I did give the other maids the ritual for the magical spell I used to make the food so good before I left." She added.
"You don't say." Boyfriend said. Him and Girlfriend walked back home.
1 Week Later
"...On other news, someone found a large chunk taken out of a mountain last night..." A news reporter said. There was an image of a destroyed mountain. Boyfriend looked, and recognized the mountain.
