As Boyfriend was going home from work, he decided to take a back alley route because there was less foot traffic that way. To his surprise, he found Cassandra, injured, and on the ground.
"What happened here?!" He asked.
"You've spotted us?" Said someone out of nowhere. Boyfriend turned around to see a demon with an animal skull for a head in a jacket and jeans.

"I have come to destroy that vile beast. She disrupts the order in this world, and I demand you leave here at once so that I can restore it." He ordered.
"Who is this guy?" Asked Boyfriend. "Are you saying you're here to kill her?" He questioned the demon.
"I am. That creature is chaos." The demon answered.
"In that case..." Boyfriend said, taking is shoe off. He threw it at the demon's face, and the demon held where he got hit for a few seconds. Boyfriend took this moment to grab Cassandra and get her out of there. When they made it to an empty park, Cassandra let go of Boyfriend's hand.
"Why are you helping me?!" She asked.
"You said you weren't here to cause trouble anymore, so there's no reason for that guy to kill you." Boyfriend answered.
"That's enough." The demon said out of nowhere. Boyfriend and Cassandra turned to him. "You chose to interfere, therefore, I must exterminate you, too."
"You can do that?" Boyfriend asked. "You have rules to follow, don't you?"
"Yes, but those rules are only on paper." Replied the demon.
"He's making Girlfriend's father seem genuinely nice." Boyfriend thought. He stood in front of Cassandra.
"A human who would try to protect a demon?" Asked the creature from Girlfriend's world. "Hmph!" He scoffed as he smacked Boyfriend across the face. Boyfriend tumbled back and grabbed where he got smacked. Suddenly, the three of them felt a powerful presence from behind. Boyfriend looked to where it was coming from.
"Oh, just in time." He muttered as he saw Girlfriend. Girlfriend jumped to where the demon was, her eyes a shiny red color.
"You?!" Asked the demon in disbelief.
"You put your hands on Boyfriend..." Girlfriend growled. She slowly approached him, and with a large blast, he was gone. She walked over to Boyfriend and Cassandra.
"Did you kill him?" Boyfriend asked.
"No, I just sent him back to the demon realm." She said. Girlfriend held up a dismembered horn. His dismembered horn. "After punishing him a bit." She added. She crouched closer to Boyfriend. "Are you hurt badly?" She asked.
"Not badly, but it stings." Boyfriend replied. A devious smile formed on Girlfriend's face.
"You know, a way we demons heal each other is licking wounds." She said, getting closer to Boyfriend.
"Don't do that in front of me!" Cassandra yelled.
"Don't do it at all!" Boyfriend yelled, his face red.
A week after Cassandra decided to live a quiet life among humans, Boyfriend and Girlfriend's life went back to "normal." One night, after watching a movie with Girlfriend, Boyfriend went to bed, and Girlfriend went to bed, too. Ever since the two of them got a spacier apartment, it was harder for Girlfriend to fall asleep in her own room. She felt more at peace whenever she was around Boyfriend, and went to sleep quicker back when they shared a room. Girlfriend tossed and turned in her bed. Though she didn't need sleep, she still liked to. So, she got up and knocked on Boyfriend's door.
"Yeah?" He asked tiredly.
"Can I sleep in your room?" Girlfriend asked.
"Sure, just don't do anything weird." Boyfriend said. He went back in his bed and made room for her. Girlfriend climbed in and scooted closer to Boyfriend. Boyfriend immediately opened his eyes, flustered as he felt her hugging him from behind. He turned around and pulled her closer to him, seeing no harm in cuddling. Girlfriend smiled, buried her head in his chest and went to sleep.
