~Chapter Two~

......Writing was a comfort zone it wasn't something I lived for, it was like a habit or like a painful sore you couldn't get rid off. I love everything about it but I gave it up, it became my enemy. I hated it I almost lost my friend because of it.....

"Mia,you got a visitor"mom called. I save my work and switched off my laptop and ran downstairs. I was totally disappointed when I saw my best friend preoccupied with her phone, I quickly plaster a fake smile.
         "What are you doing?"I asked her,Kelcy looked up from her phone with a wide smile on her face."I thought we could have a sleepover".
"Aren't we a little to old for that".

      She let out a humorous laugh like I told her a joke."no we are not".
The real reason why Kelcy was here has something to do with my brother's arrival."I was thinking we could shopping"she said.

  Didn't we accomplish this already.

"I can't Kelcy I have work" I replied her smile turn into a frown.
Kelcy and I are best friends but we live two different lives more like living in two different worlds. Hers is full of rich people who have money and will shop till they drop, there is mine where you have to work hard in order to survive.

       "Since you got that dumb job you never have time for me".she muttered.
"It's not dumb,I need it" I told her.
"Why your parents paid off your tuition fees, I don't see the point in working your butt off".

   Kelcy was right my parents did pay off my school fees and I am still living with them but I didn't want to depend on them for everything. It's nice to have a job,to buy all those nice things you ever wanted.

         "So are you coming or not? Kelcy asked with her hands on her hips.
I groan the thing about my friend she will pester you until you gave in but not today, I had a day off and am not planning on spending it following her around like a lap dog.
    I know I lied about having work but Mr.Gomez usually gave me Friday's off. Kelcy could get James to do it.
"Am not coming Kelcy" I said as I plopped down on the sofa and turned on the T.v. drowning out her voice.

       "Its rude to switch on T.v. while am talking"Kelcy scolded as she turned it off.
I got up and went to the kitchen to get  something to drink, all this bickering  will make you thirsty. Reaching for a can coke and taking a long drink from it." Not today Kel's I refuse to be your lap dog" I finished off my drink while Kelcy glared at me.

       She was mad more like furious"fine I will get James to do it" she said as she stormed out the kitchen and out the door. I sat down on a stool and counted to five until I heard Kelcy footsteps.

      The thing about my friend she can't stay mad at you for to long."am sorry" she said hugging me.
Hugging her back I replied"its okay but am still not going".
"It's okay I'll get James to do it" Kelcy was out the door again.

    You maybe who the hell is James,He is none other than my friend on and off boyfriend. Let me tell you a little secret James has been dating another girl for quite a while and me being the friend didn't want to come across as jealous, and am not about to lose my friend over that if she finds out good for her...
