"I can explain you my situation. Please give me some time. We must talk," added Irene.

The girls who were passing by became all ears as they listened to her last sentence and stopped in their tracks. One of them snickered, "What did CEO see in her? She is such an average girl. She is not even an heir to any business house. She dresses so averagely. She has no background. How did she manage to seduce the CEO? Hey, for much did you offer yourself for? What a low woman you are?"

Irene was extremely pissed off by now. She looked at the crowd and identified the most vicious of them. She walked out of Jennie's cubicle and went to face them.

"So you think I have seduced the CEO? If you are so sure of your capabilities how come you haven't been able to do the same? Does Lisa even know your name? Let alone your name, does she even know that you exist in this planet? Enough with your stupid comments! If you don't leave right now, I will ensure that you don't come to this office from tomorrow! Scram!"

Irene spoke those words so angrily that Lisa who was working in the office came out. She was startled when she heard someone shouting outside her office. Realizing that it was Irene who was shouting, she turned the knob of her office door to open it just in time to see the women she was dealing with and managed to hear the last few sentences. Lisa looked at her fondly, her lips curling at her confidence. That's her girl! Lisa walked towards them with her hands on her hips.

When the girls saw Lisa, they ran away. Irene whose back was facing Lisa was so happy with her performance that she chuckled and turned around excitedly towards Jennie to ask about it. Instead she saw Lisa who was grinning from ear to ear. Feeling slightly embarrassed now, she indicated her to leave, as she wanted to talk to Jennie in private. Lisa understood and left.

Jennie had maintained a stoic silence till then. She looked up at Irene and signaled her to pull a chair and sit down. Irene obeyed her like a child.

"Shoot!" said Jennie.

Irene started. She narrated her story within half an hour after which Jennie was in tears.

She got up from her chair and hugged Irene. Jennie thought how her friend had suffered for so long. Irene felt too emotional when Jennie embraced her and she cried. Both of them stayed like that for some time consoling each other, when they heard someone coughing loudly near them.

Lisa had come to take Irene back to the lounge. She had to discuss hundreds of things with her. Jennie smiled through her tears and left Irene. Irene promised to go out on a lunch with her soon, as she left.

Jennie's initial resentment about Irene washed away and now she wanted only good things to happen to her friend.

Lisa and Irene went to the lounge and decided on making a list of things to do. Well, Lisa was more eager as compared to Irene. The burden of the contract had lifted from her shoulders and now she felt as if she had emerged out of a swamp. Her punishment was over. She wanted to relax and rather than helping out Lisa, she lolled on the bed.

"How about celebrating this day Lisa?" she asked feeling stress-free.

"You see the lounge is very small," she said snuggling into her and then tickling her jokingly.

Irene laughed and laughed until she surrendered.

"Someone was biting her bottom lips..." Lisa pressed Irene on the mattress and savagely chewed on her lips. After placing a tender kiss on the swollen lips, she dipped her head in her neck.
