Tony was in his workshop working on a suit at late hours of the night when he heard it.
A doorbell coming from nowhere. He looked up confused as hell not used to hearing a doorbell, "Jarvis, who installed a doorbell in my workshop?"
"No one that I know of, Sir," Jarvis answered.
Tony put down his tools standing up as he came to the workshop door opening it as he had it locked at night so no one disturbs him expecting it to be Cap only to see a mailman at his door, a rather big package in his hands, his hat tilted down. "Um-"
"Package for Tony Stark," the man said, "one of the others let me in."
"Of course they did," he muttered his brain kind of fried from staying up ungodly hours of the night.
"Sign here," he passed a clipboard over to him as Tony stared at it, "please?"
"I don't like being handed things," Tony sighed, he stepped back, "come in."
The man came in, "you can set the package there and the clipboard there," he said eating a snack he grabbed off his desk.
He did both as he watched Tony sign his signature, he smirked wondering if the Billionaire is going to question the fact he's a mailman in the middle of the night that the Avengers just let him in.
"So..." Tony rose an eyebrow, "you deliver things at night often, or is that a preferred career choice?"
He grinned, "something like that," he took the clipboard back as he stepped back, "you have a good night Mr. Stark."
"You too, Dave," Tony put a peace sign up as Dave let out a small chuckle, deciding not to comment on it as he left the workshop.
He knew exactly who Dave was thanks to the Multiverse, thanks to that he decided to continue to work on his suit instead of opening the package.
Loki laid in his room reading a book when he heard a doorbell from his door.
He cocked his head up, he put a mark in his book sitting up off the bed going to the door opening it to see the mailman with a small package in his hands, his hat tilted down. "Is that seriously suppose to disguise you?" He asked.
Dave groaned, "well obviously not as it doesn't ever work on those who know of me," he rolled his eyes, "I have a package for Loki Odinson or should I call you Laufison? So confusing?" He saw he hurt a nerve, "sorry, daddy issues?"
Loki glared, a dark look coming over him as a knife slipped into his hand thrusting it at Dave as Dave dodged only for the god's form to disappear and his blade lodges into the Elder's side from the back Loki holding it.
Dave lets out a laugh, "fair," he said amused he turned pulling the blade out of his body, he gave the blade back to him before passing a clipboard over, "sign here."
Loki took the clipboard, "I don't suppose she is with you?"
"Talking about your girl toy?" he asked with a knowing smirk.
He didn't answer just gave him a look, "sign here," he repeated.
The god signed his signature, one name above his; Tony Stark, he passed it back over as Dave gave the package to him.
"Good luck, you're gonna need it," Dave told him, backing up.
"Are you ever not ominous?" Loki asked giving him a sneer.
He just laughed giving him a wave before walking down the hallway, a new package appearing in his hands.
Loki looked down at the package, his heading tilting, wondering if this'll lead to her. He closed his door.
He knew somehow the package would lead to some kind of chaos but the allure of the Elder honestly was too much as he opened the package.
Inside the package was a piece of parchment folded up, he picked it up, ink sinking into the paper. He opened it, "well hello."
After finishing his suit, Tony found himself looking at the big package, sighing he went to it. "Curiosity kills the cat," he says opening it, to see a piece of what seems like a core engine of a gateway portal.
About a few hours later the portal was made and Tony was almost nervous to turn it on, "this is probably a bad idea, maybe I should ask the team," he said speaking to Jarvis.
"I would say you should talk to them sir," Jarvis suggested.
He sighed, "you're right," he was about to head for the door when the portal began to spark before it ignited a hole opening as Tony's eyes widened.
Thor was in the kitchen eating pop tarts when a doorbell sounded behind him, he looked up in alert but finished his pop tart.
He wiped his mouth as he walked over to the elevator when it opened revealing a mailman with a semi-large package in his hands.
"Package for Thor Odinson," Dave recited.
Thor rose an eyebrow, "is this the normal time you deliver things, sir?" he asked wanting his name.
"Dave," he said, he handed him a clipboard, "sign here, also, I prefer the nighttime."
The God just nodded respecting that as he signed his name.
"Turn it off! Turn it off!" Tony yelled as he was typing madly on the computer trying to get the portal to shut down not knowing what it lead to or if it could bring others in or not, "Jarvis, speak to me!"
"Sir, it's behaving irrationality, not completely listening to commands," Jarvis answered, "it's irradiating the same kind of energy as the tesseract but on a higher level."
"Higher-level?" He asked confused, "what does that even-" suddenly the portal began to spark.
Dave tilted his head overhearing the portal beginning its magic, he didn't feel like getting sucked in as well, he grabbed the board from Thor, "have a nice night, Mr. Odinson," he snapped his fingers and was gone.
Before Tony could stop it the portal was sparking and starting to grow bigger before it expanded taking all those in the building.
