When you heard the news, you immediately flew back to Coruscant. You didn't care if you were abandoning your royal duties, Dogma meant more to you. You didn't wait to properly land your royal transport before you were already jumping off the boarding ramp, which hadn't even extended fully. You jumped onto the nearest speeder and headed to where you knew they would be holding him.
"General Jinn," Rex said as you burst into the prison ward. "Aren't you supposed to be on Dohbar?"
"This is far more important," you said, attempting to walk passed him. He grabbed your arm and stopped you, causing you to look at him with confusion.
"What are you doing, Rex? Let me go."
"I can't do that, I'm sorry General. There are orders not to let him have any visitors."
"What? That's ridiculous! Let me see him!"
"Look, I want to, but I can't. You have to talk to General Skywalker or Kenobi if you want to try and convince them to let you."
"Where are they?"
"Right here, y/n," you heard from behind you. You spun to see Anakin and Obi Wan walking down the hall.
"I'm not surprised to see you here already. But we have to talk. I need to explain what happened."
"I don't care what happened, I want to see Dogma!"
"Y/n, he's dangerous right now. We don't know if we can trust him."
"He would never hurt me," you countered.
"We don't know that. For all we know, he could have been playing you as well as all of us this entire time," Obi Wan spoke. You shook your head, refusing to believe the possibility.
"He killed General Krell," Obi Wan stated, "who's to say he doesn't have a list of Jedi to kill."
"Krell got what he deserved," you shot back. "Dogma told me every night about what he was doing, what he made the 501st do. Him killing Krell was saving himself and his brothers. It was necessary."
"Do you hear yourself, y/n? You're trying to justify the killing of someone!" Anakin nearly yelled.
"Someone who commanded your men into killing their brothers! He made Dogma give orders to kill Fives and Jesse! Don't try and say that he didn't deserve this."
"Death is never the right option," Obi Wan interjected.
"You're right," you said, folding your arms over your chest. "The better option would have been to let Krell rot and suffer in a dark, dingy cell with no outside contact."
Anakin and Obi Wan gave you slightly horrified expressions when you spoke, though neither of them looked like they completely disagreed.
"Let. Me. See. Dogma. I won't ask again, Skywalker." Your handed slightly moved towards the lightsaber on your belt. Obi Wan caught your actions, and his hand moved in a similar way.
After a minute, Anakin slowly nodded, turning to lead you to Dogma. When you approached his cell, you couldn't stop the gasp that fell from your lips when you saw him.
He looked defeated, completely and utterly destroyed. It was like he had given up, succumbing to a life of imprisonment or whatever punishment he may receive.
"Dogma," you said softly. He instantly jerked his head up when he heard his name, and you saw the relief flood into his eyes. Anakin disabled the door long enough for you to walk in.
"Y/n," Dogma said, voice breaking as he ran forward and wrapped his arms around you. He was shaking, and you could feel his fear through the force.
