It was movie night with the 212th, and that meant lots of snacks. You'd spent most of the day baking all kinds of cookies, brownies, and other treats for them. Waxer and Boil had just arrived to help you take all the food to their barracks. You floated some with the force while they carried the rest, and no one else in the halls seemed to take notice. They were all used to this now. At first, they had stared at the amount of treats you had procured, but now they just ignore it. If you happen to pass by Kit, he'll try and convince you to give him a cupcake.
Once you were to the barracks, you quickly organized the food before the rest of the 212th stampeded through the door. They loved movie nights, and they loved your baking.
"Out of the way, shiny," Wooley said as he pushed a new member away from the cupcakes. He grabbed one as he knew they were specifically made for him. He always asked you to do something unique with designs and frosting. This time, you had made a bantha family scene. He grabbed the one with the baby bantha and popped it in his mouth. The shiny stared at the other trooper as he walked away, cupcake stuffed into his mouth hilariously.
"Ignore him," you said while walking over and placing a hand on his shoulder. "I'm General Jinn of the 17th." You offered him a hand which he shook.
"I'm CT-"
"No!" You interrupted, causing him to jump back slightly. "Sorry, I just strictly believe all of you deserve to have names. I don't like this number thing. So, if you don't have a name, then I'll find you a match tonight."
"Uh, okay, thanks," he smiled uncertainly.
"Are you terrorizing the shinies again?" Crys asked when he walked over, stealing a brownie from the table.
"I'm not terrorizing him," you defended, "I merely told him about my name policy."
"Well, you should also tell him about the Cody policy," he laughed.
"Cody policy?" The shiny asked.
"It's nothing," you replied, waving him off.
"Oh, it's definitely not nothing," Crys said. "General Jinn here is special to our beloved Marshal Commander."
"Special?"
"They're dating, but you didn't hear it from me," Crys said before walking away.
"You're dating Cody?" The shiny asked. "I thought Jedi weren't supposed to date."
"Well, I'm not a regular Jedi," you shrugged before leading him over to the movie room.
"Hey, y/n! I got the popcorn machine!" Boil yelled from the other side. The sounds and smells of popcorn being made flooded the room, and you grinned widely at the clone. You then watched as Waxer wandered over with a bowl. He had a mischievous grin as he turned around, bowl full of popcorn. You looked at where he was staring, and saw Cody with his back to the trooper.
"Waxer," you warned, as he passed you, causing him to pause and give you an innocent grin.
"Aww, just one prank tonight?" He said while giving you a pleading look. You shook your head and smiled, motioning for him to continue. He eagerly began walking towards Cody again, looking back over his shoulder at you when he reached his back.
"You're gonna want to watch this so you know what not to do," you told the shiny. You both watched as Waxer began his joke.
"Commander! Watch out!" He yelled before he pretended to trip, tossing the popcorn onto Cody while tackling him. "My bad, Commander. Seems like I tripped again."
"Waxer, I swear to the Maker I'm going to demote you," Cody nearly yelled, angrily shoving his brother off of him. He didn't stay mad for long though, as he heard your laughter from across the room. He stood up and made his way over, giving you a questioning look as he approached.
"See something funny, ner cyare?"
"Maybe," you laughed while picking a piece of popcorn from his hair and popping it in your mouth.
"I see you've met one of the shinies," he said while nodding to your new friend.
"Yup! I have to get him a name tonight."
"Well, I know your names are always fitting. Good luck," he said before placing a gentle kiss on your forehead and wandering away.
As the night went on, and the clones argued over what movie to watch, you talked with the shiny and got to know him. Back on Kamino, he was known for popping up a lot from behind walls during training. He would also randomly pop up in a room thought to be empty. He told you how in his first battle, which was the one they had just returned from, he had popped up behind a droid and scared it so much that it short circuited and fell down.
"I would have LOVED to see that," you laughed as you stood by the popcorn machine, him making a bowl to eat.
"It was honestly really funny, but also kind of scary," he chuckled.
"Wait! That's it!" You said, grinning at the clone.
"What's what?"
"Your name! Popper!"
"Popper?"
"Yeah! You like to pop up randomly! It fits!"
"Huh, I like that name," he said while slowly grinning.
"Hey, everyone!" You yelled, making the clones stop talking and turn to look at you. "Say hello to your newly named shiny brother, Popper!"
"Hey Popper!"
"Ahah, Popper!"
"What's up Popper?"
"How're you doing, Popper?"
The responses from the other clones were instantaneous and welcoming, each one of them celebrating with their brother over his newly acquired name.
~~~
It was late and the movie had finished long ago. You sat on the couch next to Popper and Boil, Waxer sitting on the ground in front of you. You combed your fingers through Popper's hair as he snored into your shoulder, mouth slightly open in his sleep.
A broad figure leaned over your shoulder and placed a gentle kiss on your cheek, and you smiled as you turned to connect your lips with Cody's.
"You always do find the best names," he mumbled against your lips.
"Mmm, I know," you responded.
"I love you, ner cyare."
"I love you too, my Commander."
