You had a long and stressful day. Your battalion had woken up to an unexpected droid assault on the planet you had been resupplying on. You hadn't had too many casualties, but the surprise had shaken you. All you wanted to do was get to your quarters and shower before taking a long nap, and that's exactly what you did.

You spent a while just letting the hot water run down you, trying to cleanse yourself of the day's worries. After you'd wasted enough water, you quickly dried off and put on your favorite pjs, which happened to be a certain clone's undersuit. The neck came up high, and you tucked your nose in to take a deep breath, relishing in the scent of him. You sighed contently before you grabbed your favorite blankets and made a nest for yourself on the couch. You laid down and easily fell into a deep sleep.

Because you had fallen into such a deep sleep, you didn't wake up when your comm went off. You didn't wake up when someone knocked on your door. You didn't wake up when they walked in and shouted for you. You only barely woke up when they gently shook your shoulder.
You groaned as you opened one eye, peering up drowsily at the handsome man before you.

"Well, aren't you a sight for enhanced eyes," he said, letting a small smirk play over his lips. "You missed our date."

"Kriff," you said, shooting up on the couch. "I'm so sorry, Cross. I'll make it up to you, I promise."

"I know, Skippy."

"I told you not to call me that. I don't skip things, I just fall asleep or forget," you say while scrunching your nose. He chuckled softly and poked your nose before leaning over and picking you up off the couch. You wrapped your arms around him as he laid down where you had been, and held you close to his chest.

"You can make it up to me by cuddling me, then making me dinner," he mumbled as he squeezed a little tighter.

"Okay, Weirdo," you playfully joke. In response, he started making weird noises and poking you, making you giggle and squirm.

"Ah-Cross! Stop it!" You laughed, trying to get away from him but being pulled right back to him as he settled down.

"So, you going to tell me why you chose to sleep instead of meet me for our date?"

"I just had a long day. It wasn't great and I was just tired," you replied, tracing circles on his chest.

"Well, then maybe I should make you dinner," he offered.

"Mmm, that would be nice."

Crosshair gently placed a kiss on your forehead before getting up and walking over to your kitchen. You silently followed him, dragging the blanket along with you. You wrapped your arms around him as he cooked, following awkwardly behind whenever he moved. Every few minutes he would spin in your arms and plant a soft kiss on your forehead, causing you to smile softly into his back when he turned around again.

When he finished and put your food on the table, you pushed your chair right up against his so you could share the blanket, and so you could lean your head on his shoulder as you ate.

"You look cozy in my undersuit," he said after a while, a satisfied smile on his face when he finished eating.

"They're my favorite pjs," you replied, kissing his cheek before standing up and pulling him back to the couch. He laid down again and you crawled on next to him, tangling your limbs and nuzzling into his chest.

"I love you, Skippy."

"I love you too, Weirdo."
