Putting Salt on a Bird's Tail

(First instrumental based one-shot! Let me know what you think of it in the comments and enjoy! The Piano book used is John W. Schaum Book B. And this is an AU where Aru and Aiden are a thing.)

Aru Shah, the one and only, was going to catch a bird today. And her friends were going to film her achievement. The idea of catching a bird came from a piece on the piano Mini played for them. When she finished playing it, she had the sudden urge to catch a bird. Because of the song, yes. She was now outside, sitting on a tree branch as Aiden was filming with his camera.

"I'm going to do Black Widow's iconic pose!" declared Aru as she stood on the branch.

"Don't Aru! If you all off-" started Mini.

"Something happens then you die. We know Mini." said Brynne.

Mini frowned. "I'm not wrong though."

"Well I'm going to do it anyway!" declared Aru as she jumped down from the branch, hanging on it with her hands.

"Oh gods I can't watch." said Mini, covering her eyes.

Aru moved her legs a little bit, trying to get some friction, then she flipped herself over the branch multiple times before letting go, and landing, doing Black Widow's pose. She then felt all her bones break as she fell to the right, still in the pose.

"See! Something happened! We need to call 911 right now." said Mini, pulling out her phone.

"No we don't. See? She's getting up by herself." said Brynne as Aru got up.

As Aru got up, she wobbled a little bit before falling again, Aiden catching her. He pecked the top of her head, and Aru felt herself blush. She then straightened herself, and climbed up the tree again, going on a different branch for the experiment.

"Bet you want Shah to sit on you like that." said Brynne to Aiden.

"I heard that!" sad Aru, her face turning red.

Aiden's face was also red at Brynne's statement. "Are you filming, Wifey?" asked Aru as Brynne tossed up the salt and Mini made her invisible.

"Yes, I am, Shah." said Aiden, rolling his eyes at the nickname.

"Hello whoever's watching! Today, I'm going to show you how to catch a bird! See? One's coming right now!" whispered Aru as a bird-which was Boo- perched on the branch Aru was, pretending to be oblivious. "Now, I shall put salt on this bird's tail, and we'll be able to tame it!"

The Potatoes watched-Mini in horror- as invisible Aru put salt on Boo's tail. Then, Boo flapped his wings and pecked Aru in the eyes with his beak. Causing the shield to fade, twist under the branch, hanging on for a split second before falling to the ground, hitting her head on the grass.

"And that's how you don't catch a bird!" said Aiden to the camera as Mini helped her up.

"And I'm not a bird! I am the Pandava instructor! I am the almighty Subala! I am-" ranted Boo before Mini covered his mouth.

"Pandava adjacent." corrected Aiden.

"Brynne?" asked Aru.

She looked around, but she didn't see her sister. "Brynne?" asked Aru again. Still no response. She then felt a force of wind in her back, and too late, she was rammed into Aiden, the camera falling to the ground along with Aiden and Aru. Then, Aru realised she was on top of Aiden.

"PANDAVAS!" hollered Boo. "NO SEX UNTIL YOU'RE DONE SAVING THE WORLD! AND BEFORE SEX, YOU CONESNT!"

Aru's face turned red as she got off of Aiden, helping him up. "Say hi for the camera."

Aru turned around to see the camera right in her face, and an evil smirking Brynne.

"BRYNNE!" yelled Aru as she pushed the camera away from her face.

"Shadowfax!" exclaimed Aiden as he took his camera.

Aru rolled her eyes, then started to chase Brynne, only for her to be stopped by Boo pecking her eyes again. "What the hell Boo?"

Boo gasped dramatically, and fake fainted into Aru's palms. "You dare say hell in front of a king?"

"Former king."

"Shut up."

"And you just told me to shut up. I'm a Pandava!"

"Shut up Pandava!"

"Shut up king!"

This went on for way too long. "Alright guys, let's end the video here. Come say goodbye." said Aiden.

The Potatoes and Boo all went up to Aiden and waved goodbye. "BYE!" they all said.

The Potatoes all stared at the screen, tears filling their eyes as they watched Boo.

"Boo..." said Mini, wiping her eyes.

Aru sniffled as Aiden closed his laptop, his eyes glossy.

"Who knew that that would be our last video with him..." said Aiden as he blinked back his tears.

"The universe." answered Aru as she sniffled again.

"Yeah, who knew..." said Brynne as she looked away from the others.

"We can still carry on, right?" asked Aru. "And plus, we have a new Boo."

"Yeah. But it won't be the same as when we had old Boo." said Mini.

"It won't, but we'll press on."

"And Aiden, don't forget to consent," said Brynne, her voice faltering.

The Pandavas- and the adjacent-laughed at Brynne's remark. But deep down, Aru knew that Boo would always be there in spirit.
