I woke up the next morning in Niall’s arms, he felt me shift around in his grasp and held me closer.

“Good morning, beautiful” he whispered in my ear.

“Good morning,” I smiled up at him. In that moment, I was happy. I felt that Niall and I had grown closer after last night’s conversations. I could tell he was making a serious effort to get to know me and I appreciated it.

“I’m having some friends over tonight for a get together, would you like to accompany me?” he shot me his signature smirk.

“I would love too,” I smiled. “But I want to go home first to change and such, okay?”

“Alright,” he leaned in and kissed my forehead. I could tell Niall was thrilled by my answer by the way he continued to look at me. I climbed out of bed and slipped my clothing on as I walked around to Niall’s side of the bed.

“See you tonight,” I whispered in his ear and left him with a kiss on his cheek.

When I got home it was almost three o’clock, so I stripped of my clothing and hopped in the shower. While in the shower I was thinking about the previous nights events, I was happy that we got to know each other but there was still a part of me that felt that things were off with Niall. I pushed the thought out of my mind as I stepped out of the shower and dried off. I wrapped my hair in a towel and headed to my bedroom to pick out my outfit.

I soon realized that Niall never told my whether this was like a formal get together or if it was just casual. I tried to call him several times but he wasn’t answering his phone so I decided I would rather be a little overdressed than under dressed. I looked through my many dresses until I found the perfect one; it was just a plain black dressed that hugged my body perfectly. I have been blessed with a fast metabolism, so I never really have to workout to maintain my shape. I pulled my dress on, it had a high neckline and fell to mid thigh, it was truly my perfect little black dress. Next, I had to search for the perfect shoes and I couldn’t decide between my red high heels or my teal oxfords. Ultimately, I decided to go with the teal oxfords because I’m 5”7’ so I don’t need the extra height, not to mention that I am not at all coordinated in heels.

I left my bedroom and headed back to the bathroom to do my hair and makeup. I did my makeup first because my hair was already out of my face; I’ve never been one to wear too much makeup. I believe that makeup is only used to enhance someone’s beauty, therefore I don’t want it to look like I’m hiding behind it. When I finished my make up I moved onto my hair, I took my hair out of the towel and my wet brunette locks fell just past my shoulders. I took the blow dryer and dried my hair, then I decided to go with soft waves so I curled my hair.

When I finished in the bathroom I went back into my bedroom to look in my full-length mirror. When I saw myself I was, to be quite honest, shocked at how good I looked. I’ve never been one to get all dolled up for special occasions, but I really wanted to impress Niall’s friends tonight. I looked at the clock and realized it was almost six thirty, I decided to grab a pair of extra clothes just incase I was over dressed or I slept the night at Niall’s. I took my clothes, shoes and purse and headed over to Niall’s.

When I arrived there were three big black cars in his driveway and that’s when my anxiety started to creep up on me. I hated my anxiety; it made me feel like I just wanted to throw my car in reverse and leave. But I decided to push through it and go see his friends. When I walked into the house I could hear a couple deep voices talking, accompanied by a few higher voices, in the kitchen. I walked down to the kitchen, internally freaking out because I recognized those voices.
