One week. That's how much time they had until the party. Fitz's surprise birthday party, to be exact. They had been planning it for longer than Biana would like to admit, but she was fine with that. After all, parties were a great source of distraction.

She clicked on her phone, her nails tapping quickly against the screen as she texted Sophie.

How's the planning going?

She set her phone down, tossing it onto her white comforter with a sigh. Sophie was an incredibly slow texter so it would be a while before a response came. She glanced around her room, biting her lip softly. She didn't have much to do. That, of course, except for her math homework. But no way that was getting done.

Math had never been her strong subject. Especially after last year... all her grades had plummeted. But math was far beyond the others.

Of course, that didn't help the fact that her next assignment was a long one.

She was sentenced to be working on this curse with a girl she never really talked to. One who sat quietly in the back, a small smile on her face, paying attention to every word of what the teacher said. How she could listen and seem to understand all the formulas and equations and long ridiculous terms that her Algebra Two teacher said often, didn't make any sense to Biana. The girl's name was Line Sing or such.

Her phone chimed loudly from the place on her bed. She lifted it up. Huh. Sophie had responded already.

Great! Tho Keefe's hair is now red

What?? Why?

She waited a few minutes before getting a response

Accidentally dropped paint on his head :/

She cackled out loud, sending back a message.

How did that happen??

Well, turns out I'm kinda clumsy...

Biana laughed again.

Oh, really? I didn't know that :p

Shut up

Okay. Thx for the help tho! Tell me if you need any help

Ok

She threw her phone back down on the bed. There was a knock on her door. She looked up. Fitz was leaning against the doorframe, looking jn. She froze. Ever since they had started planning, she had the worst anxiety every time he was near. What if he found out and wanted to come talk to her about it? What would she do?

"What do you want?" Deep breaths, Biana. Maintain eye contact. It's just Fitz, he wouldn't know about it. No one told him about the party. Don't look unnatural, that will just make him suspicious.

Instead of the"I know about the surprise" she had been dreading, he said something that shocked her  nonetheless, "There's someone for you downstairs."

What? She hadn't been expecting anyone. She looked at him skeptically, "Who?"

"Some boy."

"Boy?" She scrunched up her face, confusion flashing across it. Who would be here that her brother wouldn't know and without texting her beforehand? "Did he say why?"
