Travis's POV
I waved goodbye to Katelyn as she walked over to her house before I turned around, suddenly being met by the glare of Dante.
"Mate just ask her already." He rolled his eyes. "It's clear you two are seriously interested in one another so just ask her already!"
"Ask her what?" I joined him in the kitchen to make myself breakfast.
"To be your girlfriend." He glared at me.
"Dante we've been on two proper dates. That's moving too fast." I scoffed. "Not that I wouldn't want Katelyn to be my girlfriend but she's a very head strong girl and if I suddenly approach her with a proposal to be my girlfriend, she would either freeze or would punch me and I would have ruined probably any proper chance to actually take this relationship or whatever we're calling it somewhere that could hopefully last."
"See! You're thinking of taking your relationship somewhere to the point that could last forever. Take it to the next level by asking her to be your girlfriend before I do!"
"You'd ask Katelyn to be your girlfriend?" I smirked as I twisted his words.
"No that's not going to happen! We'd not only kill each other but I could never see myself with someone as headstrong as her. What I meant was that if you don't ask her to be your girlfriend I'll ask her for you."
"She'll kill you." I laughed. "She'd not only kill you but would also turn me down because guess what Dante we aren't in the third grade anymore. We don't need to ask people to properly date us through friends."
"Then ask her to be your girlfriend!"
I rolled my eyes, ignoring him. I knew I wanted to ask Katelyn that question, I just didn't know how to approach that question or even bring it up in conversation. Katelyn could be skittish when it came to big questions, I knew this so also knew if I was to ask her, it would have to be carefully.
I couldn't blurt it out to her in the middle of a conversation, especially if she would be talking because she hates to be interrupted, but I was also unable to give her a great big gesture because it would end up with me in a grave. It was tricky to go around.
I had to figure out the right time, the right place and even the right manor to ask her that question without leading to her shutting down in front of me.
"Hey! Are you listening to me?" Dante clicked his fingers in front of my face to draw my attention to him and bring me back into my reality.
"Yeah, I was." I nodded.
"Ok good. Just think about it." He smiled then walked out of the kitchen back to his bedroom.
I sighed, finishing making my breakfast and sitting down on the couch. I suddenly looked over to my left, something catching my eyesight almost immediately.
"Katelyn's sweatshirt." I smiled, placing the bowl of cereal onto the coffee table and grabbing the navy blue, vintage graphic sweatshirt, staring at it for a few seconds before bringing it up to my nose and taking in the scent of her favourite body spray which clung permanently to her clothes.
The smile on my face grew each time the smell of mango and pineapple entered my nose, sending waves of comfort around my body. I sat there satisfied for a few seconds more before I folded the sweatshirt up and lay it beside me, deciding to give it to her when I next saw her.
With another, more satisfied, sigh before I grabbed my bowel of cereal and continued to eat breakfast.

"No." I mumbled into the pillow, Dante and I trying to find something to watch. He flicked onto the next movie. "No.""We're never going to find something." He groaned.
"We could always re-watch something." I looked at him. "Maybe like dirty dancing?"
"We've watched that like three times this week." He looked at me.
"And? It's a wonderful movie." I crossed my arms, glaring at him.
He nodded and then flicked through Netflix again until he found dirty dancing. I was suddenly distracted by my phone buzzing.
"Put it on silent!" Dante growled.
I glared at him playfully before I looked at my phone, smiling at the messages on the tiny screen in front of me before responding.
"Dante." I got his attention. "I'm going round to Katelyn's tonight."
"To ask her to be your girlfriend?" He began to wiggle his eyebrows.
"No! Just as a friend thing." I rolled my eyes. Dante smirked before he grabbed my phone and began to read my text messages.
"Yeah totally 'just a friend thing' when KC is over here inviting you to a sleepover for just the couples." He glared at me with a little, clearly amused, smirk on his face.
I nudged his leg with my foot before smiling at him.
"She's Kawaii~Chan. The second that girl gets even the slightest hint that two people have chemistry she'll start calling them a couple." I pointed out to him, grabbing my phone back from him.
"Alright whatever." He playfully rolled his eyes.
The both of us looked at the TV again to spend the next hour watching the movie.
