"LADIES!" Lucinda exclaimed as she burst through the front door. "It's almost Halloween therefore we need to think of costumes. Group costumes, no excuses Katelyn. Not unless you and Travis are doing a joint costume as a couple, are you?"

"No." I shook my head. "But Lucinda seriously, a group costume?"

"Yes!" She exclaimed, sitting down in between Aphmau and I, making me move up closer to Kawaii~Chan and pulled out her phone, scrolling through the pictures of potential costumes for the four of us. "Now I was thinking something like modern day Disney Princess' or characters from Alice in Wonderland or even Winnie the Pooh, but my personal favourite was the characters from spongeb-."

"What about the four main characters from the Wizard of Oz?" Aphmau suggested. "Katelyn could be the tin man."

"Why because she's heartless?" Kawaii~Chan asked with a tiny smirk, wincing when I punched her arm.

"Obviously." Aphmau teased. "But anyway, Katelyn could be the tin man, Lucinda you could be the lion."

"Leaving me as the scarecrow and you, Aphmau, as Dorothy." Kawaii~Chan said. "And then Celestia or Alexander could be Toto."

The three squealed excitedly then looked at me.

"I wasn't on board until Kawaii~Chan said that Celestia or Alexander would be Toto because that's just adorable." I grinned as I nodded.

"Perfect!" Lucinda squealed and clapped her hands together. "Ahh we're going to have the best costumes at the Halloween Party!"

The other three of us laughed at her excitement and then we turned back to the TV and continued with the anime we had been watching before Lucinda had burst in.

"Argh!" Someone growled like a pirate as they ran up behind me and looped their arms around my shoulders. "It looks like I have found my treasure."

"Travis!" I exclaimed, almost in shock, and turned around to him. "You look...great! This costume is amazing!" I pointed at his pirate costume.

"As is yours." He complimented and winked at me.

"Dork." I punched his arm. "But I mean you're not wrong. Both my costume and myself look absolutely stunning."

"You're always stunning Blueberry."

I blushed and Travis chuckled softly.

"Um, Travis what are we going to do about my dad?" I asked. "I mean he has just stopped hating you after I told him we weren't exactly together because he took that as me telling him we had broken up...Chances are he'll go right back to hating you if we tell him we actually are dating."

"Katelyn, I've dealt with it before. I can deal with it at anytime."

Again I smiled at him, just softer this time and more comforting. I suddenly spotted my dad and Sylvana walking up the street from their house and went slightly wide eyed. Travis turned around to look at what I was looking at and almost hiccupped out of fear. A light laugh slipped from me.

"Are you sure you can handle it?" I whispered closely to his ear. " Because by the look on your face, you seem terrified."

Travis smiled at me, gently and playfully punching my arm. He then looped an arm around my waist and hugged me tightly. I laughed sweetly when all of a sudden, someone pulled me from his arms and started dragging me away from him and to Garroth and Laurance's front yard.

"Katelyn. Fucking. Firefists!" Nicole yelled as she pushed me gently. "Fraternising with the enemy."

"Travis isn't the enemy." I folded my arms after I had gently shoved her back to get her to stop.

"No! But boys are!" She glared at me. I laughed sweetly at her then she laughed sweetly back. "Anyway, when was I going to get told the news that you had finally confessed to him?"

"Nicole, I didn't even know until like the beginning of the month or something like that. I wasn't even sure what would happen between us once I told him and also, you don't like him very much Nicole."

"I like him more than your dad does!"

"True, true, but still he's not the enemy anymore."

"He's friends with Dante."

"Get over it Nicole! You and Dante broke up, for like the sixth time,"

"It was the seventh!" Nicole corrected me sharply.

"Same difference...But anyway, you two broke up over a year ago. Get over that I am still mildly friends with him." I scowled. There was a moment of silence between us two as she looked down at the ground. It took a few moments then I gasped. "Nicole Von Rosenburg!" I yelled loud enough to start gaining people's attention. "Don't you dare tell me you and Dante started it back up while the rest of us were away at Starlight."

Silence.

I looked back at Dante, squinting as I glared at him. He soon caught sight of me and went wide eyed. Watching him carefully the whole way, he jogged over to Travis and began furiously tugging on his arm.

Travis looked over to me and he chuckled, muttering something to Dante. Dante punched his arm before he stormed over to Garroth and Laurance like a child.

I grinned, turning back to Nicole.

"I'm not apologizing." She frowned.

"I wasn't expecting you too." I smiled. "Just remember, don't let him break your heart, be the one to break his."

"I always am." She winked.

We walked back to the party and I quickly greeted my dad before following, or actually being dragged over to, the apple bobbing station by Kawaii~Chan.

"Having fun there?" I asked Travis smugly as I walked up to him where he was busy handing a few children from the next neighbourhood some candy. He gave them a small wave goodbye then looked at me.

"Why do we have to do this again?" He asked.

"Handing out the candy or the Halloween party?"

"Handing out the candy. I mean kids are probably old enough to walk up to a bucket of candy and take a piece, right?"

I snorted, resting my head on his shoulder lightly.

"You're seriously asking that?" I laughed. "You seriously don't think they'd do what everyone else did when they were younger and take more than one piece or in some cases just the whole bucket?"

He lightly shrugged.

"My dad never took me to go trick or treating when I was younger." He muttered. "I've never really done it before."

I looked up at him and held our strong eye contact before I smiled and started laughing lightly.

"You're joking, aren't you?" I asked. "I mean your dad is amazing, surely he must have taken you trick or treating at least once."

Travis shook his head.

"Not that I can recall." He shrugged. "It's fine though. Trick or treating is just a small thing so I don't think I really missed out on much."

I wanted to say it was sad but kept my mouth shut as I thought it could come off as rude. Instead I just grabbed the second, much emptier, bowl of candy and smiled at him.

He returned the light smile before we both turned to another group of dressed up children and handed them out their handfuls of candy.
