Part 9 - Up in the Elevator

Pallavi was staring at her phone.

'What the hell was wrong with her?

In her insanity last night she agreed with the devil. Since her head was still hurting from last night she forced herself to stop thinking about last night.

She had just reached the Saree shop when a incoming message made her pause. Digging out her phone she hoped that it wasn't Raghav. When she saw it was Vaasu.

'We have found the father. There is a problem however. Please come to my office.'

Pallavi quickly went inside the shop explained the situation to Krishna and headed back out. As she was heading out of the mall she saw a man in white button up following her. He looked like a cop. When she was on the street she stopped to see if he would walk past her. When he did she let out a sigh of relief. He went to the car parked on the street opened the back door and looked directly at her. Thinking maybe Vaasu sent him. She walked towards the man.

"Who sent you?"

"Raghav Anna. He wanted me to be around in case you needed anything or to take you wherever you go"

"Tell your anna that I don't need a bodyguard."

She walked away from him. At the end of the street she turned back and saw him walking behind her. She pulled out her phone and called Raghav.

'Pallavi'

"Tell your man to stop following me. I don't need a bodyguard or a driver or anything else. So stop!"

"He is there for your protection"

"I don't need protection"

"Fine I will remove him temporarily."

She looked at the guy. He was talking on the phone with someone. It was a brief conversation. When the call was completed he turned around and walked to the car. She Was surprised that Raghav actually  listened to her.

"Thank you"

"I don't want your thanks Pallavi. We need to talk."

"I can't. I am in a rush"

"Harish said that you were anxious. Is everything okay?"

"Yes. Its fine."

"Okay. I will let you go then. If you need anything let me know"

Before she could say anything he hung up the phone. She felt weird at the way he was acting. This didn't seem like the Raghav she had met. Wondering if he was rethinking their situation. She headed towards Vaasu's offices with thoughts of Raghav filling her mind. When she entered the building she went to reception and was directed to go to the top floor. She was headed towards the elevators when she saw Raghav.

Surprised to find him here she audibly gasped. When he didn't turn around she thanked her lucky stars and quickly moved away from there. Once she was safely inside the elevator and the doors started to close she calmed her heart.

Raghav reached out his hand and stopped the doors from closing. As the doors opened the shock on her face made him smile. Hiding from him was impossible especially for her. He stepped inside the elevator his back to the door.

"Running from me sweetheart?"

"No. Are you following me?"

"Happy coincidence"

As the door shut behind him he moved towards her. He placed both his hands on her waist. He pulled her face up and placed a kiss on her lips. He gave her a light kiss and pulled back. Her closed eyes, lightly parted lips and blushing cheeks were so tempting that he had to kiss again. This time it wasn't a light kiss neither was it a aggressive kiss of his dreams. This kiss was all about exploring and tasting her.
