At 7:00 PM sharp Pallavi walked out of the house. She looked across the road and saw the same man from this morning standing in front of the car. As she approached the car he opened the door hubbub uh for her. Once she was seated inside he drove off.
Pallavi felt really bad lying to Aayi and Baba but she had no choice. She knew that Raghav would do exactly as he said. Then it would be a bigger mess then now. The look Aayi gave her today showed just how little she believed of her lies. Yet she didn't question Pallavi when she left. It made her wonder what Aayi was thinking about her.
Pallavi was roused from her thoughts when the car stopped. She stepped outside before the guy could come open the door. It was a hotel. At first she shocked that he would be so bold to invite her to a hotel but when she walked in she saw the restaurant on the side her shock drained.
She walked towards the restaurant and was guided towards a empty table towards the second floor of the restaurant. The table and the décor was arranged in such a manner that it overlooked the tables below but provided privacy to table itself. Looking around all the tables on the 2nd floor was staged in the same manner. Pallavi wouldn't know how many were full or empty unless she purposely walked to the table itself.
She sat down and waited. It was 7:30 yet Raghav hadn't shown up yet. From the little she met Raghav it seemed to her that he would be a punctual person so then why was he not here.
She pulled out her phone and text him.
'Where are you?'
She heard a incoming notification and picked up the phone but realized it wasn't Raghav. It was an unknown number. She ignored it as normal. Yet when the second message came it angered her.
'Hello'
'it's Mandhar'She messaged him back.
"I don't want to talk to you. Leave me alone."
"We need to talk Pallavi. Please it's very important."
When she didn't reply another message came.
"Listen I know I don't have a right to expect anything from you but I am still your husband. As your husband I want to just explain my side. Please give me chance to explain then I will leave from your life."
She wanted to throw the phone away. How dare he ask her something as her husband. He lost that years ago. She got up from the table - wanting to leave from here. As she took few steps she bumped into Raghav.
"Leaving so soon?"
She pulled back away from him as if he shocked her.
"Well I figured you weren't coming"
"I did message you back."
He guided her towards the chair again. Pulling the chair back he waited for her to sit down. Knowing that she had no other choice she sat down again.
He moved away from her and sat on the chair next to her.
"Isn't it better for you to seat over there"
He just smiled at her.
"I rather be next to you"
Realizing that arguing with him is useless she moved to the next topic.
"So what did you want to talk about."
The server came with water and asked for drinks and appetizers. Raghav looked at her but she refused to indulge him.
"Whiskey for me. Soda for the lady."
"Red wine for me"
Raghav looked at her in surprise. He gave the appetizer order to the server and he left. Raghav turned towards her.
