Sid Knows Her Pain.

Sana: Is ghar me koi mujhe pyar he nhi karta.... Meri baat samajh kyu nhi rahe ho aap log.
Sana whined, while rushing down the stairs towards the dinning hall, wearing a knee length navy blue skirt and a baby pink blouse. All the family members present for dinner, looked up at her.
Vihaan: Lo ho gaya iska hangama shuru... Ek din yeh ladki kabhi shanti se aake sabke sath khaaye to manu mai. Har cheez me nakhra hota hai iska.
Badi Maa: Vihaan chup ho jaao beta. Choti hai vo.
Vihaan: Badi Maa vo 22 yrs ki hai. Aap log agar usse bicchi banake rakhoge to vo choti hi bani rehegi.
Seema: Sana tu fir se vahi baat shuru mat kar. Maine kaha na tu akele nhi jaayegi...
Sana: Bade papa dekho na mummy ko. Mujhe nhi jaana uske sath..
Bade papa: Kya hua Gudiya. Seema kya chahiye bacchi ko??
Seema: Kuch nhi bhai saab, bas isse har cheez ke jidd karni hoti hai..
Sana: Badi Maa....
    Sana whined again.
Badi Maa: Gudiya bas iss baar chali jaa. Fir kabhi nhi force karungi tujhe. Dekh tere bade papa aur tere papa ko kal Shukla bhai saab ke yaha jaana hai, yogesh ke meeting hai din bhar.
Sana: Bhai aap chalo...
Vihaan: Meri do din me test hai. Mujhe padai karni hai...
Sana: Thek hai mai bhabhi ko lee jaati hu.
Yogita: Sana... Gudiya mai aise uninvited kaise jaa sakti hu??
Sana: Ab mai kya karu?? Kisiko mere liye time he nhi hai. Kaha na maine koi mujhe pyar nhi karta.
Seema: Sana thappad khayegi ab Tu...
Sana: Ha ab maarna he baaki reh gaya hai. Vo bhi kar lo.
     She said sitting on the coach near by, all grumpy.
Bade papa: Ek minute, ek minute. Kya, problem kya hai?? Mere gudiya ko kisne sataya itna??
Seema: Satya?? Kal se isne pareshaan kar ke rakha hai..
Bade papa: Are batao to hua kya hai??
Seema: Kal uske friend Soni ke engagement hai. Aur vo Pune me hai. Ab akele to Mai isse bhej he nhi rahi. Siddharth ko request ki ke usee le jaaye. Uska bhi kuch kaam hai vaha to vo maan gaya aur ab yeh nakra kar rahi hai.
Sana: Haa aap mujhe Pune akele nhi jaane dete, Canada kya jaane doge. Jaane do next week mere interviews he nhi deti mai. Jab aise jaane he nhi dena hai to??
Seema: Ha mai to keh he rahi hu, ke koi zaroorat nhi hai kahi jaane ki. Teri he zidd lagi hai. Yahi pad lo jo padna hai...
Sana: Thek hai nhi deti fir mai interview. Le leti hu saare papers wapas.
     Tears started streaming down Sana's eyes. And Bade papa can never see tears in his Gudiya's eyes.
Bade papa: Gudiya idhar aao mere paas.
Sana: Nahi... Mujhe...
Vihaan: Sana bade papa bula rahe hai na tujhe?? Chalo get up..
     Sana got up and went and sat on the chair near Bade papa. Bade papa took Sana's hand in his.
Bade papa: You know na, your bade papa can never see you cry?? Chalo wipe your tears.
Sana: Bhai US jaane ke tayari kar raha hai to kisiko koi problem nhi hai. Bas mai apna dream pursue na karu. Mujhe jaana hai. Apna career banana hai. Mummy to chahti he nhi ke mai jaau.
Badi Maa: Aise nhi hai beta. Teri mummy tujse dur hone se darti hai.
Bade papa: Accha ek baat suno. Nobody will come between you and your career, but kal travelling ke liye if you have a company, why not?? Siddharth agar jaa he raha hai to uske sath jaane me problem kya hai??
Sana: Par bade papa...
Bade papa: Gudiya don't be stubborn now...
Sana: Ok... I will go....
Bade papa: Good girl. Chalo eat now.
     Sana came to her room all frustrated. She didn't wanted to go with him. He is the most irritating and rude creature in this world. She doesn't understand what he thinks of himself. He will leave no opportunity to insult her, as he hates her. And she too hates him. And so taking a ride from him was so difficult. But it seems she has no option as she really needs to be with her friend during her happy moment.
     Sid had just come from office. He was late today. Everyone at home were having dinner.
Maa: Kitna late beta?? Time to dekh liya kar..
Bindu: Siddharth jaldi fresh hokar aa. Mai khana garam kar rahi hu.
Sid: Jee chachi. Aa raha hu Maa..
     Sid walked up to his room. He was too tired and he had an early start tomorrow morning. Seema aunty has requested him to take Sana for her friend's engagement. And he knew it was going to be the most tiring day. Mentally. Being in the same space with that girl, frustrates him. He hates her. She is the spoilt brait. Sid's brain said. But his heart knew what she was and he had stopped listening to his heart long back. It's good that way. Yes coming to that girl again. She wants the world to revolve around her. She is stubborn, mannerless.....beau... No no. He doesn't have to look at that side of her. He hates her. It's has simple as that. And she hates him too. He was about to walk out of his room when his phone buzzed. It was Amit. His cousin and best friend. He, Amit and Yogesh has been best friends since childhood.
Sid: Tujhe koi kaam nhi hai kya?? Ek mahine me teri shadi hai. Tujhe apni tayari nhi hai kya??
Amit: Bahot kamina hai tu. Khud koi khabar nhi leta aur saamne wala le to uski koi kadar bhi nhi hai.
Sid: Khabar kya leni be?? Kal he to call kiya tha tune... Ab kya roz tujhe pappi chappi lu call kar ke??
Amit: Uski zarurat nhi hai. Uske liye hai mere paas.
Sid: Hmmm bol ab kya kaam hai??
Amit: Next week aa raha hu. Tere aur Yogesh ke sath mujhe apne shadi ki shopping karni hai. Tum dono to yaha aane se rahe. To Mai he aa jaata hu.
Sid: Ha thek hai aa jaa....
Amit: Vedant kaisa hai ab??
Sid: Thek hai. Kal jaa raha hu usse milne. Uska accident hua aur mai gaya he nhi.
Amit: Uska accident ko do mahine ho gaye. Tujhe abhi milne ki kya sujhi?? Akela jaa raha hai ya Yogesh ke sath??
Sid: Nahi akela he jaa raha hu. Vo.... Sana ko kisi ke engagement ke liye drop karna hai. Seema aunty ka call aaya tha... To.. Mai jaa he raha tha...
Amit: Oh... To isliye yeh program bana....
Sid: Kya matlab?? Bakwas mat kar Amit... Vo to Mai jaa he raha tha to....
Amit: Siddharth....
Sid: Shut up Amit.... I hate that girl... Usko sahi me Kisi ki koi parvaah nhi hoti. Usko sach me sab ne itna bigada hua hai, ke....
Amit: Paanch saal pehle tak tu bhi vahi karta tha...
Sid: Mai... Mai... Vo tab choti the Amit...
Amit: Accha chod, Neha kaisi hai??
Sid: Neha?? Neha.... Thek hai.... Thek hai...
Amit: Kab baat hue usse??
Sid: Baat?? Do... Teen... Nahi do hafte pehle...
Amit: Siddharth, Tu apne fiance se do hafte baat nhi karta, aur vo bhi tujhe call nhi karti?? Yeh kaisa rishta hai tum dono ka??
Sid: Amit, vo busy hai... Mai uski padai me.... Mai distrub nhi karna chahta usse....
Amit: Accha??
Sid: Aur mai jaane wala hu, bahot jald usse milne... Tune kya mujhe torture karne ke liye call kiya hai?? Phone rakh... Dinner ke liye chachi bola rahi hai...
Amit chuckled and Sid wanted to punchh him
Amit : Ok Bye.. Par call rakhne se pehle yeh bata, kya tu sach me khush hai?? Aur hai to mujhe kyu nhi lagta??
Sid: Kyuki tera dimag kharab hai.
     Sid disconnected the call and went down for dinner. Amit. He knew Sid in and out. But this time Amit was wrong. Of course he is happy. Why shouldn't he be. Neha is a nice girl. He told himself.
     Sid was quiet, while having his food.
Bindu: Siddharth kya hua hai tujhe?? Tere favorite sabzi hai. Fir bhi kha nhi raha hai??
Sid: Kuch nhi chachi.... Kha raha hu.
Baba: Siddharth apne health ka bhi khayal rakho beta. Work is important, but so is health. I know you have a lot on your mind, but itna stress lene ki zarurat nhi hai. Don't worry vo project hame he milega.
Yuvraj (Chachu): Siddharth hame pura confidence hai tumpe beta.
Sid: Aree aise kuch nhi. Aap log aise he pareshaan ho rahe hai. Bass thoda thak gaya hu aur kuch nhi. A good night sleep will make it all good.
Maa: Siddharth tum kal Sana ko lekar jaa rahe ho na??
Sid: Lekar nhi jaa raha Maa. Usse drop kar raha hu. I have my work too. Agar vo time pe nikle to I will bring her back. Otherwise I'm not responsible, vo kaise aati hai.
Baba: Siddharth....
Sid: Sorry baba...
Maa: Vo bacchi aayegi kaise beta, agar Tu nhi laya to??
Sid: For God sake Maa, vo bacchi nhi hai. 22 saal ki mature adult hai.. Aap sab ne pata nhi kyu bacchi banaya hua hai usse...
Baba: Whatever it is. You will bring her back Siddharth.
Sid: Ok baba..
Baba and chachu got up and left.
Maa: Bindu, Suresh se bol ke breakfast jadi banava de morning me. Siddharth jaldi niklega.
Bindu: Jee didi
Sid: Maa aapni dawai le??
Maa: Nahi beta. Abhi le lungi.
Sid: This is not done Maa. Fir aap bhul jaati ho...
Maa: Nahi, nhi abhi jaa he rahi hu.
     Sid was toying with his food, while Aarohi (Aaru) and Rohit are eyeing him. Sid looked up.
Sid: Kya?? Kya hua hai??
Rohit: Bhai aapne Sana ko sath le jaane ke liye haa kardi??
Aaru: Mai to yeh sooch ke hairaan hu ki usne kaise haa keh di...
Rohit: Kal wapas pahuchte, pahuchte pata nhi kis ka sir tuta hua hoga..
Sid: Yeh tum sab ne itna bawaal kyu machaya hua hai, mere aur Sana ki sath jaane ka?? Itni kya impossible baat hai isme??
Aaru: Vo baat yeh hai bhai ke hame yeh baat hazam nhi ho rahi hai...
Sid: Tum dono ko padai nhi hai kya?? Khaana ho gaya ho to chalo apne apne kamre me aur padai me lag jaao.
     They both got up seeing Sid getting upset.
Sid: Aur Aaru, tu thoda mobile me kam dhyan daala kar... Samjhi??
     Sana was lying on her bed, dreading the two and a half hour journey with that man. He will not let any stone unturned to make Sana realise that she is a stubborn, selfish and a snob. But he is wrong. Her mobile buzzed.
Sana: Bol Aaru..
Aaru: To all set to go??
Sana: Kaash mai yeh plan cancel kar pati... Agar Soni itne pyar se mera wait nhi kar rahi hoti, to mai na jaati...
Aaru: Tere aur bhai ke beech problem kya hai?? Kya itna bigad gaya hai tum logo ke beech me?? Pehle kitne acche dost hua karte the na tum dono. Aur fights to hote hai na dosto me?? Fir aisa kya hua ke tum to nafrat he kar baithe ek dusre se.
Sana: Kuch nhi hua. Aaru tujhe mujhse sach me kuch kaam tha, ya aise he mera dimaag sada ne ke liye call kiya hai??
Aaru: Ajeeb ho tum dono. Mujhi pe bigade jaa rahe ho.... Thek hai... Bye.... Accha sun Monday ko shopping chalna hai na?? Fir zyada time nhi hai hamare paas. Baba bol rahe the ke two weeks baad ke tickets karenge Jaipur ke.
Sana: Ha theek hai chalte hai. Ritu ka kya scene hai?? Vo Amit bhaiya ke sath aa rahi hai ya nhi??
Aaru: Amit bhaiya to next week me aane wale hai. Mai to usse kal shaam tak he aane bol rahi hu. Pata nhi kya karti hai yeh ladki.
Sana: Chal Tu uska program bata, fir accordingly decide karenge kya karna hai.
Aaru: Ok. Bye.
Sana: Bye.
     Sana, Aaru and Aaru's cousin, Ritu have grown up together and call themselves bff. Sana smiled. She have so many people around her to make her happy. And only one person who is always ready to spoil her good mood. His taunt feel like poison to her ears and so she refutes back.
     Sana woke up by mummy's shrieking voice.
Mummy: Sana uth Tu late ho jaayegi aur uss bichare Siddharth ko bhi late kar degi.
     Hearing his name this early in the morning made Sana groan.
Sana: Mummy subah subah uska naam lina zaruri hai?? Acchi neend kharaab kar di.
Mummy: Sana bahot maar khayegi... Ek to vo tujhe le jaa raha hai...
Sana: Aur usse aapne kaha... Mujhe nhi chahiye tha uska ehsaan...
Mummy: Accha ab firse vo baat nikalne ki zarurat nhi. Chal uth ready ho jaa. Mai breakfast banvati hu.... Chal jaldi aaja.
     Mummy left and Sana got up with a slight headache.
     Sid entered the gates of the Gill residence and parked the car. He went inside the house and was welcomed by Seema aunty and Badi Maa.
Badi Maa: Aao beta baitho... Seema Siddharth ke liye breakfast lagvao...
Sid: Aree nhi badi Maa. Mai abhi just breakfast karke nikla hu.
Seema: Chai piyoge Siddharth??
Sid: Ha aunty aadha cup.
     Yogesh came down the stairs and Sid and Yogesh shook hands.
Yogesh: Kab tak lautega??
Sid: Shaam me char baje tak niklne ka plan hai.
Yogesh: Vedant ko kehna ke maine pucha hai. Mai bhi aata yaar, par yeh meeting...
Sid: I know.
Yogesh: Amit ke aane ka kya plan hai.
Sid: Aayega next week me. Tu thoda time free rakhna. Uski shopping hai.
Yogesh: Aree haa yaar. Tum logo ke liye to time he time hai. Don't worry.
     Seema gave tea to Sid. And he was sipping on it.
Badi Maa: Sana ko aate samay wapas laa paaoge na beta??
Sid: Ha badi Maa. Kyu...
     And he stopped mid sentence when he saw Sana walk down in a sage green lehenga with light golden embroidery. She was looking mesmerising.
Yogesh: Are you ready gudiya??
     Sid looked away coming out of his trance.
Sana: Jee bhaiya..
Badi Maa: Gudiya bait breakfast kar le..
Sana: Nahi badi Maa mann nhi hai..
Yogesh: Aise nhi karte Sana chal breakfast kar..
Sana: Par...
Yogesh: Chachi Sana ka breakfast jaldi laana...
     Yogita came with the plate with partha in it. She looked at Sid and smiled.
Yogita: Kaise ho bhaiya??
Sid: Mai thek hu bhabhi. Aap kaise ho??
Yogita: Ek dum badiya.... Gudiya sab finish karo. Nahi to sir me dard hota hai...
     Sid chuckled and Sana looked at him. She really did not have the stomach for that partha, and her family was trying to shove it under her throat. And this idiot was enjoying it. She very well knew, he will surely pass an insulting comment on this later.
Sana: Bass ho gaya mujhe. Badi Maa, mummy mai chalti hu. Bye bhaiya, bhabhi.
Sana stood up and walked to the door.
Seema: Siddharth, please beta aate samay le aana. Keh rahi the kisi friend ke sath aayegi. Maine mana kiya hai par....
Sid: Aunty aap tension mat lo...Mai usse le aaunga.
     Sana was sitting inside his car, when Sid came out. He sat in the driver seat and started the engine. Her fragrance when he entered the car played on his nostrils, making him feel dizzy. He did not look at her. He did not wanted to. What have he gotten himself into. This is sheer torture. He told himself.
     Sana removed her mobile from her purse. She needs to call Bunny. She needs assurance from him, because the person sitting next to him is creating havoc on her mind as always. And she really needs to hear Bunny's voice. Bunny was not picking her call. He was going trekking today with a bunch of his friends. She so wanted him to come with her. But he has refused. He has said his friends are as important as her. He had chided her and asked her to not start comparing  all the time. It's ok. She understands. But can't he at least pick her call??
Sid: Kyu, tera boyfriend call nhi utha raha??
     Sana looked at him Irritatingly. She busied herself by calling bunny again.
Sid: Vo tere sath kyu nhi jaa raha hai Sana??
Sana: Dekh Siddharth, tujhe mujhe nhi le jaana hai to Tu mujhe utaar de. I will take a cab. I know Mummy ne tujhe zabardasti ki mujhe sath le jaane ki liye. But you can drop me here somewhere. I won't tell anyone, so nobody will know.
     Sid gave a loud laugh.
Sid: Mai ghar walo se jhut nhi bolta. Yeh teri aadat hogi, meri nhi. I know teri company mujhe bilkul pasand nhi hai. Par bardaasht kar lunga.
Sana: Accha?? Aur jaise mai to mari jaa rahi the na teri company ke liye??
Sid: Marna chahiye... Kyuki bahot marti hai.
Sana: Tu vo hai jisme gamand kutt kutt ke bhara hai.. Bloody irrogant....
Sid: Aur tu vo 22 saal ki bacchi ho jiske piche saara ghar khana lekar ghumta hai.
Sana: Mai jaanti hu tu mujhse bahot nafrat karta hai. Har baar jatane ki zarurat nhi hai.
Sid: Kyu tu nhi karti??
     Sid looked at Sana and he saw pain in her eyes. She looked away. Sid felt his heart is being sliced with a sharp knife. She looked at him again and the pain was replaced by anger.
Sana: Siddharth car rok..
Sid: Oh shut up Sana... Don't act like a fool... Yeh tera childish behavior apne ghar walo ke liye rakh
Sana: Maine kaha na tujhe car rok. Tujhe bilkul ghar walo se jhut bolne ki zarurat nhi hai. I will call and tell them that....
     And her mobile started ringing. It was Bunny...
Sana: Bunny kaha hai tu?? Kab se call kar rahi hu??
Bunny: I have already told you Sana, I don't pick the call when I'm with my friends. I was busy sweetheart... Vo to Anjali ne mere mobile me missed call dekha aur usne mujhe bataya.
Sana: Anjali?? Vo bhi hai tum logo ke sath??
Bunny: Of course hai baby... She is also a part of my group na??
Sana: But Bunny...
Bunny: Ok Sweetheart, kal baat hoti hai. My friends are calling me.. Bye, bye.
Sana: Par Bunny... Hello?? hello...
     The line on the other end went dead. Tears started pricking at the back of Sana's eyes. She swallowed and took a deep breath.
    Sid saw her slender neck and knew she has gulped so she doesn't cry in anguish. He wanted to punch that bastard Bunny. What does she see in him?? Why does she let him manipulate her?? At this moment Sid very well knew what she is feeling. Sid knows her pain. And remember you hate her. Said his very logical brain.
