The Tagatha Story

Chapter One: Sweet, sweet laughter

A/N: Hi, just to let you guys know this is my first fanfic, so there will probably be a few errors, so apologies in advance for that. I can't wait to share my story/stories and I hope you enjoy this first chapter :) .

A soft rapping on the door signalled that it was time for Agatha to wake up. She groaned and rolled over. Her King had obviously woken up ages ago, his side of the bed was cold and there was a small crevasse in the mattress where he had been sleeping. "Come in" Agatha said groggily, wiping her sleepy eyes and pushing herself into a sitting position.

"Good morning Queen Agatha, I can see you've slept well" chortled Myrtle, Agatha's maid.

"Yes I have haha, Myrtle what's on the schedule for today?"

"Well in 5 minutes you'll attend breakfast and then-"

"Will Tedros be there?"

"Sorry, the King has already had breakfast." Agatha grunted in disappointment. "Anyway once you have finished breakfast, you are going into Camelot city to help oversee the rebuilding of the school. Then you will come back here to have an interview with the Camelot Courier, then you will have lunch with the king, and then you will look at decorations for the ball." Agatha pulled the covers over her head and groaned louder than before.

Myrtle shook her head. She pulled the covers away from Agatha and pushed her into the shower. Then she picked out Agatha a beautiful sky blue dress, before selecting some shoes to match. Soon enough Agatha was ready for what she thought was going to be a very long day.

Tedros P.O.V

The morning had gone bye extremely quickly. In the morning he had woken up at 5.00 am, kissed Agatha on the head, and gone straight to the gym, where he did a half an hour work out, he then showered and went straight to the map room where he spent 2 hours watching the Ever and Never kingdoms. He was meant to be thinking professionally about the kingdoms, but really, Tedros was thinking about all the places in the Endless woods that Agatha had never see, that he wanted to show her.

He was just examining Jaunt Jolie, when a knight knocked on the door. Tedros swept his golden locks out of his face and then said "Enter."

"Good morning your highness".

"What's the matter?"

"The council has asked for an urgent meeting, they are waiting patiently in the throne room for your arrival."

"Where's Agatha?" asked Tedros.

"Queen Agatha is having an interview with the Camelot Courier as we speak."

"Take me to the throne room" said Tedros, wondering why the leaders of the Ever and Never kingdoms would request an urgent meeting.

Agatha P.O.V

Agatha was feeling increasingly claustrophobic as 50 or so people surrounded her from the Camelot Courier. She was answering questions such as "Agatha, are you and Kind Tedros looking forward to the ball?" or "Queen Agatha is it true that Kind Tedros goes on top secret missions around ever kingdoms?" But one question stood out from the rest. A girl in her early 20's asked "Queen Agatha are you and King Tedros expecting an heir?" Agatha froze. she had not thought about this. She shot a look at Myrtle and Myrtle nodded. " Ok everyone! Queen Agatha has important business to attend to! Please exit!" Agatha rushed off to her private chambers.

She flopped on the bed. Was Agatha expecting a child? No. She wasn't. But when she thought back to when she visited the school earlier in the day, seeing the children play, hearing the sweet, sweet laughter of their tiny voices, she realised how badly she wanted one. Was she ready though? Was Agatha of Woods Beyond ready to have a child. Her own mother had been rather peculiar, so she didn't have much to go off of, and Tedros's mother left when he was a child.

"Queen Agatha you are requested in the Throne room."

When Agatha entered the Throne room it was not quite was she had expected.

"YOU PROMISED ALL THE KINGDOMS THAT THEY WOULD BE PROTECTED AS LONG AS YOU WERE KING!" said one of the Kingdom leaders.

"HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT THE MAPS HAD BEEN HIJACKED?! JAUNT JOLIE LOOKED PERFECTLY FINE TO ME THIS MORNING WHEN I INSPECTED IT AND- Agatha?"

He rushed over to his Queen and hugged her. "What's going on?" she asked concerned. She could see Tedros's brow creased with worry and his face flushed with anger.

"An Ever kingdom has been infiltrated."

A/N: This is the end of my very first chapter! I hope you liked it and I would love to hear any ideas you may have! I know this chapter is kinda short, but I promise and I get used to writing, they will get longer. I will try and update regularly.
