Chapter 4: Falling Apart

Sophie was tired. Sophie was hungry. Hort wouldn't talk to her. Now she was utterly miserable. She caressed the jewel on her finger thinking of Agatha. Damn it. Sophie thought. I do think about Agatha a lot. Sophie wanted to go and tell Hort how sorry she was, but he needed some time to steam off.

She thought of Hort all the time if only he knew that Sophie thought. She got into bed and fell asleep. Hort walked in. He saw the sleeping Sophie, he lay down beside her. "I'm sorry" he whispered in her ear. She rolled over and hugged him tightly. "No I'm sorry. You're right. I spend to much time thinking of everything else. Hort I think about you all the time to, I just assumed you knew that." Hort and Sophie lay there hugging all night until the drifted to sleep in each other's arms.

Hester's P.O.V

Hester was lying next to Anadil on their bed. "Hey Ani" said Hester

"Yeah" she replied.

"Do you ever think about...well...yanno our future?"

"Umm yeah I guess I've thought about, have you?"

"Well I was just thinking because, Agatha and Tedros are having a baby, and Hort and Sophie are getting married I just wondered if..."

"Do you think we should get married?" asked Anadil. Hester grinned Anadil grinned back, they shared a moment that most couples would not be able to understand.

At that precise moment, Dot walked in.

"Hey guys I-" she looked at them both lying on the bed. "Ooo...maybe I'll tell you later."

"What's up Dot?" Said Hester.

"Well I was just going to say that Agatha wanted to speak to you to-"

"And you were going to wait to tell us! Ani come on lets go!" Hester pulled Anadil up and they both rushed to meet Agatha.

Agatha P.O.V

Agatha's face was red and blotchy from crying she caressed her stomach, thinking of the child inside her, and how much she loved it even though she had never met them. '

Hester and Anadil walked in. "Hey Agatha, you wanted to speak to us?"

"Yeah if you don't mind."

"Of course not".

"I'm worried about Tedros. I so scared that he's going to die, but he's so sure that no one is coming for him, but I know. So I was wondering if you guys could look out for him. The nurse wants me to stay in bed for a few more days, or I would do it myself."

Hester and Anadil exchanged a glance. "Look Agatha, I think Tedros can take care of himself and-"

Agatha's eyes welled like a puppy "just to give me so peace of mind" she whispered.

"Fine we'll do it." said Hester.

Tedros's P.O.V

Tedros had a lot of things on his mind. His head ached. He was trying to catch a random person ransacking kingdoms, his wife was pregnant and apparently there was a mystery figure saying that he would die. Also there were 5 other people living in his castle that he had to check up on every few hours, let alone do all his other kingly duties.

It was gone midnight when he eventually crawled into bed next to Agatha. Agatha, being Agatha, had waited up for him. "You didn't have to wait." he said.

"Of course I did." she said stubbornly and Tedros knew there was no point arguing the matter. "Hey we are a few steps closer to catching the criminal though, we've managed to regain control of the map room."

"Oh yeah. After everything that's happened I'd almost forgotten about that" she yawned.

"Don't worry, it's not anything for you to worry about anyway" replied Tedros.

"Um, what's that supposed to mean?" asked Agatha irritated. Tedros knew he'd dug himself into a pit.

"That's not what I meant I'm just saying because you're pregnant and you're having the weird dreams-"

"They're not dreams".

"Ok fine whatever, Agatha you've got a lot on you're plate, just take it easy."

Agatha rolled over and so did Tedros. When he woke up in the morning Agatha had already left.

When he got to the breakfast table, Agatha was sat there with a mountain of eggs on her plate. "Are you ok?" asked Tedros.

"Yes I'm fine. I've also realised now that...its been a few weeks since I've had the dreams, so I guess they were just dreams after all."

"I'm glad you've finally come around" said Tedros squeezing her hand. She squeezed it back and they fell into each others gaze.

A/N: Sorry this chapter was sooo short lol, I really wanted to get this posted so I could move on to the next part in the story.
