Tedros's P.O.V

"Congratulations Agatha it's a girl!" said the healer as she cleaned up the baby and handed her to Agatha. Melody grinned like a Cheshire cat from the other side of the room.

"Let me say good bye. Please." Agatha begged.

"Fine." said Melody. "Even the most evil person couldn't refuse a mother asking to say good bye to her only daughter."

"What do you mean good bye?" asked Tedros stroking his daughters head. The baby girl had chocolate brown eyes like her mother and a mop of golden locks like her father. She was beautiful and Tedros thought he could stare into her eyes all day and not get bored.

Agatha panicked. She stopped and started and finally Melody took over. "See here little king, your queen was put into a little bit of a dilemma" she smiled to herself "it was either save you or save your precious little diamond. Naturally she picked you. It won't be to much hassle to get another heir to the throne." she winked at Tedros who scowled. "However Agatha also signed a contract. But Aggie sweetie, I don't think you read the small print of our little deal. I said, if you gave me the baby I would save Tedros. I said nothing about you." Melody laughed.

"Over my dead body." said Tedros.

"A bit more time consuming, but I'm flexible." said Melody. Tedros's anger boiled in his veins. This witch wanted to take away the only 2 things he woke up for in the morning. His reason for living. If they were taken away he would be destroyed. But Agatha had signed a contract bound by the most powerful laws of magic. Tedros didn't know what would happen if it got broken. Tedros remembered when his dad had made contracts with other kingdoms. The leaders who had gone back on their promises grew extra heads and stuff, it was disgusting and excruciatingly painful. Tedros needed to find a loophole and fast.

Agatha was usually the brainy one in their couple. But she was to beside herself to think clearly at the moment so he would have to come up with something himself. Then Tedros had a thought. Melody had never said in her so called contract that Tedros couldn't kill her. She had said she would kill Agatha, but she needed Agatha to fulfil whatever she was trying to do. All Tedros had to do was call her bluff.

"Fight me" said Tedros standing up.

"What are you on about?" said Melody throwing nervous glances at her henchmen.

"No" said Hester, breaking away from her bindings "Fight us" she said pronouncing every syllable with emphasis.

Agatha shielded her baby by cradling it in her arms as Tedros unsheathed Excalibur. Hester and Anadil ran at the two men while Tedros hoisted the sword into the air and swung it down on Melody...but just as it was about to collide with her neck Melody winced like a wounded puppy as she said "I'm sorry mum I tried" before scrunching up her eyes. Tedros's sword stopped mere centimetres above her. "What are you doing you fool!" shouted Hester with a bloody lip and Anadil turned around with a blood pouring from her nose. Even the henchmen stopped fighting to see what was going on.

"I can't do it." said Tedros defeatedly.

"Why the bloody hell can't you do it?!" exclaimed Hester.

"Because it's evil" said Tedros.

"UMM?! NEWS FLASH YOUR HIGHNESS HALF THE PEOPLE IN THIS ROOM ARE EVIL!"

But Tedros still didn't move. "Tedros" said Agatha. "Look what she's done to our kingdom. To our family...to me. Tedros I know you're trying to do the noble thing, but that woman is bad. Worse than Sophie. Worse than Hester and Anadil and Hort. Because she can hurt people without caring. Tedros she's like Japeth. You could kill Japeth, why can't you kill her?" said Agatha. Tedros looked into Agatha's eyes, her brown ones reflecting his crystal blue.

"Because she wants the same thing I want Agatha. She wants her mother. All this, all this havoc was to bring back her mother. Sure she did it in the most evil way possible, but if I knew a way to bring my mother back I would try. Agatha I know she doesn't deserve to be free, but she doesn't deserve to die. We can lock her in the dungeons, but I'm not killing her. Because I'm not evil." Tedros dropped Excalibur and it clanged on the floor.

"Fools! All of you!" said Melody picking up Excalibur and pointing it at Tedros who showed no signs of fear.

"Melody you can't hurt me" said Tedros. "You're bound by magic."

Melody frowned, looking almost defeated. But not quite.

Everything that happened next happened very quickly.

Melody dropped the sword which clanged on the floor. She jumped onto the bed and grabbed the baby princess. Agatha jumped out of the bed and picked up Excalibur pointing it ferociously at Melody. Hort woke from his daze, grabbed a frying pan from the kitchen and wacked a henchman in the face who fell down. Sophie came up behind Melody snatched the baby, and Agatha pinned her to the wall whilst Hester and Anadil fought the remaining henchman.

Melody's chest was rising and falling, sweat trickling down her face. She knew she had lost. "Go on then" she chided "run me through".

Tedros prised his sword away from Agatha who looked at him intensely. He slit Melody's leg so she couldn't run away. Then he called the Camelot guards who escorted her to the dungeons. He then did the same for the other two. It was over.

"This may not be appropriate timing" said the healer "but baby does not have name yet".

Tedros and Agatha looked at each other grinning. Before saying in unison "We'll call her...
