Chapter 2 Everything is Changing

Well we all slept in the car. Me and Michael woke up and started to talk while i drive. I said "What do you think is going to happen to us now?" Michael replied "I dont know but there are going to be big changes around here." We both look ahead and see a church. I asked him "Do you think we need to go to it and go check for people?'' Michael replied "Yes lets go we are out of gas anyway." We got to the church and woke up Brooke and my Mom. I told them what was going on. We all got out and started to walk towards the church. Then we saw a guy and a girl. So Brooke said "Hello are you ok?" The Man replied ''Stop! Who are you?" I said said " I'm James and we arn't infected by by the fumes, we arn't here to hurt you." They said ''Well get inside we can't risk one of those things seeing us." So we all walked inside of the church with them. Me and Michael sat in a chair and we check the radio to see if anything is working on it. We searched for different stations and finally got one that said "All of the state of Tennessee is infected by the fumes so if you are anywhere near there we suggest.........." The radio station went all static. We told everyone what it said. My Mom replied "We need to stay here for the night then lets leave in the morning because those things can be anywhere around us now." Well the poeple we met there showed us two rooms that we could sleep in. Me and michael stayed in on and Brooke and my Mom stayed in the other. I asked the man and women what there name was and they said. Im Connor and she is Carley we have been married for  just a couple days we were about to go on our honeymoon until this happened but as long as im with her thats all i need to be happy. I replied "Well its nice to meet yall and thanks you so much for letting us stay here. Carley replied "Your so welcome yall seemed like yall are good people and i wasn't just going to let yall sleep outside with those things roaming around." I walked into my room and went to sleep. When i woke up i saw that Michael was not in the room. So i walked out into the main part of the church to see if he was there. I saw him and everyone else talking and eating in the front of the church. I walked up there and sat next to brooke. Brooke said "Good morning we didn't want to wake you up since you have done so much for us we wanted to let you sleep." I said ''Thanks i really enjoyed the time i slept." We all sat and ate for a while nothing was really going on then we heard some bangs on the main door. Then Tanzie started barking at the door so we all ran to the door and looked out the window. We saw that there was a hoard of zombies outside. I ran to Carley and Connor and i asked "Is there any other way out of her because we need to go zombies are at the main door." Connor said "Yes there is a back door next to our room." I said "Well get all the stuff you need and lets go." I ran over to Brooke, Michael, and my Mom. I said "We need to go so get all your stuff and lets go!" We got all out stuff and we all met up at the back door. Connor and Carley were already there. They handed me a metal baseball bat and handed michael a axe. I said "Do you have a car?" Connor replied "Yes its right outside but there are zombies around it. I said "Ok lets go me and michael will take care of them just get Carley, Brooke, and my Mom to safety." We all ran outside a zombie was right next to me then i hit it in the head and blood gushed out. There was a crawler zombie and i crushed it with my bat. Brooke yelled "Come on lets go!" I said "I'm coming!" So i ran and jumped in the back of there pick-up truck. Me michael and brooke road in the back. I asked Connor "How much gas do you have?" Connor replied "I have just enough to get us away from there. We made it to downtown of wherever we're at. There were zombies everywhere. Then a car came out of nowhere a crashed into us. all i heard was yelling and screaming until i blacked out....................
