Thank God I woke up before Casey the next morning. When I looked at her, she was sound asleep on my bed, clutching onto my pillows with dear life. I gave her a shirt to change last night and I realised that she didn't put it on but instead, she crumpled it in her hands and buried her face into it as she slept.
I took my time to admire the sight in front of me when my mind raced back to the previous night. I was angry, embarrassed, and most importantly, heart broken.
She can't just say all that and then expect me to not want to kiss her. And expect me to be okay that she doesn't want to kiss me.
I grabbed my jacket and left my room.
I knocked on Casey's room door and it swung open to reveal Erika and Quinn. "Heard Casey came back," Quinn said and I nodded. "Iz, listen. Quinn's organising a secret party in this room tonight. For everyone on the trip," Erika said.
A party was the last thing I needed right now. All I wanted to do was lock myself in a tiny room and fall asleep forever. "Is Casey going to be there?" I asked and Erika and Quinn looked at each other. "I mean she is my best friend. Of course she's gonna be there," Quinn told me and I groaned.
"Why? Did something happen between you two?" She asked and I remained quiet. "No... just awkward..." I mumbled, not wanting to bring up the kiss and make it into a whole thing. "Well a party is perfect to ease the awkwardness! The two of you are following me to the shop to get stuff for tonight. Casey's probably only going to wake up in the afternoon," She grumbled before dragging both of us through the corridors and out of the hotel room.
"Alright first, I'm gonna go see if they sell a speaker anywhere. I completely forgot to bring mine from home. You guys go check out the alcohol!" She said, running off. "Nice. Leave the alcohol buying to the two underaged juniors!" Erika said sarcastically and I snickered. "Let's just hope we look old enough."
As we walked to the store, I decided to question Erika about what I saw yesterday. "Sooo... what's the deal with you and Quinn?" I asked and she seemed shocked and taken aback. "Ummm... nothing... why do you ask?" Her cheeks started to flush. "I see you blushing! You clearly have the hots for her!" I laughed and she rolled her eyes. "Aren't I the matchmaker and you the hoe in our friendship. It's called Project Cazzie not Project Eriquinn!"
"You thought of that one pretty quickly," I whispered and she pushed me away. "She's just really nice and really fun to be around. That is all!" Erika concluded and I smirked, knowing that it was way more than that but I wasn't going to ask too much right now. "The real issue here that we need to talk about is you and Casey," Erika said, crossing her arms and looking at me.
"Something obviously happened between the two of you last night. So are you going to tell me?" She asked and I looked away sheepishly before I started to walk into the liquor shop. "So something did happen! Let me guess. Did you guys confess to each other? Oh my God, did you guys fuck? I KNEW IT!" I covered Erika's mouth with my hand when I saw the pairs of eyes staring at us.
"Shut up! No we didn't," I said angrily. "We just... she got into the jacuzzi with me," I mumbled and I saw Erika's face light up. "Okay that's hot," She said as I scanned through the fridge of bottles. "And then what happened?" She pestered.
"Which brand do you think Quinn will want?" I asked holding up two packs of beers. "Who cares? She just needs to get drunk. Now tell me!"
"Fine," I sighed and she got excited again. "So... she gave me some cliche speech about how she feels about me but it absolutely stole my heart." Erika started to jump around and she held herself back from screaming. "Then she told me that these feelings were really scary for her. And I told her I feel the same way. And then the moment just felt right so I leaned in and..."
