It's a Saturday morning and I'm so tired because the girls and I spent all night talking about Mason and what he could be planning for me. And all of that lead to me dreaming of him the remaining three hours I slept. It's ten in the morning now and I have to prepare for that dinner I promised Troy I'll go to. The girls tried talking me out of going but I made a promise to Troy and I intend on going through with it.
So, it's ten in the morning and I have eight hours before Troy comes to get me. Meaning I have all the time I need to prepare. I get up and go straight to my closet to choose an outfit. I end up choosing my black tight fit dress that reaches my thigh, I pick up my red wedges to go together and a red blazer.
It's eleven now and I decide to go to Ana's room to get something to eat, I don't usually cook but I know they did. So I decide to take a bath first so when I come back i just get dressed, so I do just that. Just as I'm done bathing still in my robe, there is a light knock on my door. It's probably Ana or Lucy, maybe they left something yesterday.
When I open the door I'm met with brown black eyes, it's like they belong to a vampire and I know one that always drains me of my energy. Mason.
"What do you want?" I rudely ask him.
"Hello to you too miss Mokoana." There he is again using my surname.
"What do you want Mason?" I ask him for the second time, but he doesn't answer me, instead he lets himself into my room.
"Nice place." He's being too nice, I don't like it.
"Are you here to kill me?"
"Don't flatter yourself, can you please put some clothes on first? It's disturbing." He says the last part softly.
I even forgot that I'm still in my robe, without arguing with him any further, I get into my bathroom and put on the shorts I planned to put on and a baggie t shirt. I then go back inside the room only to find him standing beside my bed looking at my parents photo. When he notices me he puts the photo down.
"Your parents look happy and in love." He tells me more than question me.
"They are, we are a happy family." I inform him.
"Well that's great, that's why I'm here." Now I'm confused.
"To know about my happy family?" I ask him, then I see it, a smile. And just as it came it disappears.
"I need you to be my girlfriend." And just like that he demands what he came here for.
"What?" I question him with a little smile on my face, and not because I would like to be his girlfriend or anything. " Look here Mr Springler even if you're the last person on earth, I would never be your girlfriend, first of all, I've been insulted because of you, you're mean and you've been nothing but pain in the ass. And lastly, that's the wrong way to court a girl."
I finish saying to him and I feel proud of myself, but he just looks at me and I look back, showing him that I'm not scared. He then laughs out of nowhere, like literally laughs. I'm sure not many have heard his laughter, it's lively.
"First of all miss Mokoana, I've sorted out Hailey a long time ago, secondly I'm not courting you because it's not necessary, I just need you to pretend to be my girlfriend. And about the rude part, I have no idea what you're on about."
He finishes saying leaving me with my mouth on the floor, he's bluffing right?"What makes you think I'll ever agree to be your girlfriend, or even pretend?"
"Because, I'll protect you against Hailey and her minions. I'll be your shield and you'll be mine against my father."
" I don't need protection from Hailey."
