It's been a week now and I haven't seen Mason ever since that day at the cafeteria. He didn't come to pick me up for our date and I swear that I won't give him anymore of my chances. I've ran out of chances to give. So I'm gonna continue living my life without confusing myself with him. So I'm off to class now and after that it's lunch with Ana and Lucy.

Even Troy isn't talking to me now, but I don't care anymore. The far I am from the Springler boys the better. Right now I just have to focus on my school work and also on Jessica, her father was buried over the weekend and I wasn't even there.

So on my way to class I decide to get something from the cafeteria, and today there's no que. Troy is at the counter and the minute I try to turn around to leave he calls out for my name.

"Manda." So we are now back to Manda.

"Yes Troy?" I dully answer him as I turn around to face him at the counter, thank God there's no one here.

"How are you?" He asks.

"I'm good." I answer him back, he then just looks at me without saying a thing. I then turn around to leave again but he stops me.

"Mason needs you." And the minute he mentions his name I want to fire back at immediately.

"Don't you dare mention that name to me."

"Look, I know you're angry with him right now for standing you up," How does he know Mason stood me up?

"Are you and him playing some kind of a game with me, how did you know about our date? " I ask him.

" No, Manda come on. He was just busy throwing it in my face about the fact that you guys are going out, and then his father announced that he's getting married next week."

"What, his father is getting married?" I still remember how he reacted when he saw his father's girlfriend, and now that they're getting married it must be hard on him.

"Yes, he stormed out on us and we haven't seen him ever since." Troy explains.

"What about his sister, Molly? He listens to her."

"Come on Manda, you saw him at dinner last."

"You know what, I don't wanna get involved in this. I'm leaving." I leave Troy at the cafeteria and this time I don't stop at him calling my name. But I can't seem to get Mason  out of my mind, I wonder what he's going through at the moment all alone.

I know that it's not easy for him to talk to people, but I can't involve myself in his business. He'll just throw me out like he did the others, what will make me so special?

...............................

Thirty minutes later I'm on the elevator going to Mason's apartment, I know what I said but he probably needs me or someone to talk to. As soon as the elevator door opens I instantly regret coming here.

There he was in the arms of another woman, lips to lips. Why the hell did I come here again? Oh because fucken Troy said he needed me. When they finally notice me, my eyes are on Mason and he's shocked to see me.

"Oh hello Africa." That fucken voice, Hailey. Why did I come here again? Oh yes, because Mason was miserable.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you guys.. " I look at Mason and he's toung tight, for the first time he doesn't know what to say." OK, I'll leave you guys. "

" Amanda wait." He tries to stop me but I have already pressed the button.

"I'm sorry about your father, but it seems to me you're turning into him day by day. " And with that the elevator closes and there are tears in my eyes. But I refuse to cry, I won't cry for him. It seems he didn't need me at all.

And just like that my day was over, I went straight to my room right after seeing Mason and his girlfriend. I called Jessica then I called my mother, I missed home now. I should call Camden also just to check up on him, at least he didn't hurt me the way Mason did. And what's funny is that me and Mason are not even dating.

I decide to text Camden instead, I know it's late back home but they all said I should call anytime. Except for Camden cause we weren't even talking.

"Hey." I put my phone down right after texting him, praying to God that he'll answer me.

"The only person I know that could  text me from abroad is my Dr from London. Is that you Manda?" Only he knew how to make me laugh, it's his magic touch.

"It's me Cam, I miss you so much all the way from London."

"Hey, what's wrong? I know you remember? "

And it went just like that, me telling Camden all about big bad London. Except I left out all the details about Mason, I can't be telling my ex boyfriend about my love life. And I must say, talking to him helped, he even told me about going to study in Cape Town even though his father doesn't approve of it.

We once dreamed of going to London together but then again life happened and we went our separate ways. But I'm glad that we could still be friends and talk about our problems like before. I really missed him, he was  not only my boyfriend but my best friend.
