A Moonacre twist

Chapter seven

I galloped out of the woods and entered the courtyard, I spotted Maria walking inside the manor
"Did you already put periwinkle up" I questioned
"Yeah, I gave her to the stable boy" she answered
"What, no if your going to ride your going to be the one to take care of your horse" I exclaimed
"Why?" She asked
"Because she's your responsibility now" I said
"Fine, I'll go" she stomped off towards the stable, I huffed in frustration and pushed Ebony into a walk, I followed closely behind Maria. I stopped in the large doorway to let Ebony's eyes adjust to the change in light, meanwhile Maria continued on to the end of the barn where the stable boy stood with periwinkle, grooming her. I hopped off Ebony's back and slid off her bridle, then I promptly put her halter on, which I then clipped the cross ties to and started to brush her. I nearly dropped the brush when I heard Maria scream, I tossed the brush to the side and grabbed the bottom of my dress so I could run. I padded down the aisle but stopped dead in my tracks when I saw Maria being held in the stable boy's arms, laughing hysterically. A huge cheesy grin appeared on my face, they stopped immediately and stared in embarrassment as their cheeks burned red, the stable boy finally released his grip on Maria and she stumbled away to stand beside him
"Umm..Chloe this is D-Danny" she stuttered and blushed even more
" It's nice to meet you Danny, we'll I'm going to go, you two have fun, okay?" I smirked and walked back to put Ebony away.

My own snoring woke me up, I shot up and nearly fell off the bed. the time was 4:20, as soon as I came in from the barn I fell asleep on my bed. I sat there just remembering my dream, it was a flash back to when I first visited Moonacre, when my mom first got sick my dad sent me here to live with uncle Benjamin for a month to let things settle, that's how I met Robin
Flashback:

Don't go near the woods uncle kept pounding into my head, but you know me being the rebel I am went into the woods. a snapping came from beside me, it was Robin. we talked and laughed for what felt like hours, before I left Robin asked me to come eat dinner with his family the next day, I thought about it for a while before I agreed, but we had to come up with a plan so we wouldn't get caught, I was a Merryweather and he was a de'noir we weren't supposed to be friends. the next day was great, robin's family was fun but the dreaded time can for me to go. that's when it all went down hill, I completely forgot and said I lived at the Merryweather manor, that's when me and Robin had to run, they would have killed me if we didn't. for the next month me and Robin would meet up in the woods and just hang out, the next day after I came for dinner Robin had bruises all over him from his father bearing him, I broke down and didn't come back for another week but I just couldn't stay away from that boy. the worst part came when I had to leave and go back home I spent all day and snuck out that night to be with Robin before I left.
