As night fell over my packs territory I climbed silently from my bed and dressed in black clothing. Tyler was asleep on the floor beside my bed so as I crept about silently more than once did I have to step over him as I revealed a secret panel on my wall holding my father's sacred blessed weapons.

There was a group of rogues just inside of my borders and there were to many young wolves in the pack now to let them stay there. I carefully lifted my father's sword from it's rack in the center of all the weapons. My father had been the best warrior all the Packs had ever seen and now it was my job to hold up his position in my name. I may not have been the Alpha yet, but nothing ever happened in the Southern Pack if I wasn't consulted first.

I slipped a knife into my boot and grabbed a quiver of arrows and my bow. I pulled my long, cascading blond hair into a high ponytail and grabbed the locket that held the photo of my parents and secured it safely around my neck. I once again stepped over Tyler's sleeping form and silently crept down the stairs and out the front door.

Standing on the front porch I saw my team gathered there. My six best friends all male, all older but all respected me. They stood ready and waiting and I jumped down the steps and landed in front of them.

"Alpha." came as a deep chorus from the six older boys to be my greeting.

I grinned and unsheathed my sword and smiled at the guys as they recognized the sharp blade as my father's. The oldest boy grinned at me as I sheathed the sword and smiled at their widened eyes.

"Let's move out, now! The rogues aren't coming close to the houses." I said as I strode down the path leading deep into the dark woods.

The six boys followed soon after me each bearing their own weapon. I ran silently through the woods always holding my bow at the ready for any attacks that may come at us. Blending in with the heavily wooded area around us we quickly stalked up upon the area where the rogues had gathered them selves.

Looking at the tall blond haired boy beside me I motioned for him and two of the other boys to circle around the back of the group of about thirty rogues. I looked at the tall brawny boy on the other side of me and motioned for him and one other to circle the sides while myself and the sixth boy climbed into a large tree and attacked from above.

As they ran around circling them at the sides the boy and I quickly scaled up two large oak trees high above the group of rogues. Knowing the five other boys would be waiting for my signal to attack I pulled one arrow from the quiver that hung on my back and held it in my left hand as a small ball of fire sprang to life in the palm of my right.

I lifted the ball of flame to the arrow and watched as the flame flew over the sharp tip. I silently aimed my arrow straight down the center of the rogues and let it fly. The moment the flaming arrow left the cover of the tree my wolves attacked, coming from all sides and above we began to slay the rogues. But we didn't know it was a trap.

We'd slain about twenty and it seemed that only ten were left, but then something hit me in the back of my head and I fell from the tree with the boy beside me. Landing painfully I realized it was a trap and I knew exactly who set it. A group of about fifteen rogues rushed at me then. Drawing my father's sword I ducked, dodged and angled my body in every way possible to avoid poison incisors and sharp claws. Taking my eyes from the rogues coming at me I saw each of my best friends fighting off a terror less than my own.

In that short amount of time one of the few rogues I had left to kill swiped his long, sharp claws across my arm leaving a long cut that instantly attracted every rogue in the clearing to me. No, not me, the blood of a White. Our powers stored in our blood gave vampires unimaginable strength when they weaken one enough to drain it.

Once again I rose the sword with my left arm hanging limp at my side as the others materialized seemingly out of nowhere as I lunged at one of the rogues slicing him in two as the others began to once again fight the others. When the last body finally hit the ground I sheathed my father's sword and looked at the deep cut on my arm.

"Storm! Throw me your shirt so I can wrap this damn cut before more rogues come!" I yelled across the clearing at the boy who had been in the trees with me.

Immediately he pulled off the tight black shirt and threw it to me. I ripped the shirt into long strips, enough to wrap the wounds on each of us. Before I even thought of treating mine which was bleeding the heaviest of all of our injuries, instead I walked to each of the six boys and tightly wrapped each wound as the sun began to lighten the sky. After I'd bound the heavily bleeding gash on my arm we began the run back home.

A wolf in my pack betrayed me. A wolf that hated me more than anything had paid off rogues with the bribe of seven teenage wolf shifter's blood. My uncle, is about to die. The sun signalled to me that it was about nine o' clock as my team and I strode into the main area where my pack had all of it's gatherings. And there in the middle of a crowd was my uncle beginning a false tale of how I had met my end to the large group of rogues that had been lying in wait just inside pack borders.

"You lying bastard!" I screamed as I lunged at him knocking him to the ground.

"Star! Sweetheart, you're alive!?" He said feigning happiness.

"Don't try fucking lying to me you bastard!" I yelled as I picked him up and shoved him against the wall.

He knew I'd found him out then, and produced a knife from his coat pocket at stabbed me in the shoulder on my left side. My uncle, all he had ever cared about was power he didn't know the meaning of love, of family. He didn't know what it meant to be an Alpha. I threw him to the ground once again knocking all the air from his lungs.

"You thought you could fucking try and kill me and my team and take over my pack!?" I yelled as I kicked him back into a wall as he tried to stand.

My brothers arrived then with Tyler, Jasmine and John in tow. They instantly saw I was wounded before all this broke out.

I once again lifted my uncle up into the air and pinned him against a building.

"I had your parents killed, I'll kill you too! I am the eldest son, I should have been the Alpha not your stupid father Stormbringer. It should have been me!" He screamed at me.

The moment he said he was the one that had the Slayers attack my parents my mind froze. I pulled the knife from my shoulder and lunged at him hate and a hunger for revenge clouding my mind.

"Star! No!"
