I woke up by a lake that I'd never been to before and the strange black wolf was laying nearby under a tree. How did I get here? What did this strange wolf want from me? The wolf looked at me as though he could read my very thoughts, and that worried me.

The wolf stood and walked toward me slowly, as though he thought I would run at any moment, and to tell the truth, the thought of running did cross my mind. But, I knew wolves, you run they hunt. I stood still as the wolf stood in front of me holding my gaze. I knew one thing though, this wolf, whoever he was, he was a Shifter.

" I know what you are, phase back so I may thank you properly for saving me." I said staring directly into its eyes, I hated speaking so properly but I had to uphold the appearance of an Alpha, and that included speaking a little more properly than I am used to.

The wolf cocked his head to the side and stared at me a moment longer before bowing his head and phasing back. Kneeling in front of me was a boy, he was probably about a year older than me, but something about him stood out. His blood wasn't pure.

"So you figured out, that I'm a hybrid, Alpha." The boy said, lifting his head to stare at me with startling, saphire blue eyes.

"You are from no pack near here, tell me, why are you trespassing on my lands, Hybrid." I said easily holding his gaze.

"I came, Alpha, to ask for you help," he began," I know that I am but a hybrid with the taint of Vampire blood, but I humbly seek your help for the sake of my siblings."

"Name yourself, then I will consider aiding you." I said.

The boy grinned at me. He seemed to know that I was going to do this the right way even though I was a year younger than him, but he also knew that I wasn't Alpha yet.

"My name is Tyler James McCoy, and I humbly come to ask you, the true Alpha, for aid in rescuing my younger siblings in hopes that you will be strong enough to save them from my uncle, Roger, before he kills us all." He said the pain and anger that reflected in his stare in my dream returned as he spoke.

"Because I am in debt to you for saving my life, I will help you rescue your siblings." I replied.

"Oh, thank you, Alpha, thank you" He said, then, I don't think he meant to, but he hugged me tightly as though we were friends who had not seen each other in years.

"Tyler, kindly let me go,please." I said

"Oh, um, sorry, Alpha." he said as he quickly stepped away from me with his head bowed.

There was something about him, he looked so strong, but his eyes reflected so much pain, anger, and fear. No one deserves to live with that, especially when its family that's causing the pain. I had to get them out of there, Cody'll just have to kill me later.

"You ready, McCoy?" I said looking straight into his eyes, where I saw the fear fade away and the anger and hate take its place.

"Yes, Alpha, I'm ready." He replied, then he phased and watched as I did too his eyes widening when he saw I was a white wolf.

We ran for about an hour before we came up on a small house. The house was so tiny it was practically a shack, how five people lived in it I don't even care to know. It had peeled, faded, white paint and the roof was sagging so badly it seemed as though it would collaspe at any moment. I looked at Tyler and saw the hate boiling in his eyes.

I knew he would be able to read my thoughts, because even though he was a half-blood, he had the mark of a true Alpha. I silently stalked around the house making sure that there were no Slayers nearby or this man Roger that Tyler told me about.

I say Tyler phase back as I stayed hidden from veiw around the corner of the house and waited as Tyler walked into the sagging house. The sounds of glass shattering filled my ears and I knew it was time for me to run in. I phased and flipped in through the window above me, silently landing in a crouch in a tiny cubicle like kitchen. Looking over the counter into the main room I saw a young girl, no older than sixteen, unconscious with bruises all over her; on the other side of the room a boy that looked exactly like Tyler with a knife in his side.

I silently tiptoed from behind the counter watching carefully so as to keep the man who was in an all out brawl with Tyler from seeing me as I carefully picked up the other boy and crawled with him on my back to the window where I carefully lowered him down to the ground. Now for the girl.

Tyler quickly saw that I already had his brother, so now he was focusing on rolling the fist fight farther from the girl as I crept in a slow circle around the room always remaining behind the man as I carefully positioned the girl on my back and crawled back to the kitchen where I eased her down beside the boy.

When Tyler saw I had both of them out he threw a hard kick to the man's stomach sending him into the wall then jumped out the window where I was waiting with the boy and girl on my back.

We ran. Faster and faster, flying through the woods with him behind me still human and me ahead a wolf again following the invisible trails back to my house. If we didn't get there soon I might not be able to save the boy, and that only pushed me faster.
