By the time we got back to my house the boy was barely breathing. I rushed through the door and up the stairs not bothering to phase back or explain to my brothers why there were three vampire/wolf hybrids in the house. Every second I didn't treat the boy was a chance at him not making it, so as soon as I had him on the small examining table that I used to checcck out injured wolves in the pack I phased back and kicked the girl and Tyler out of the room.
The blade was silver, not good. Even if he's not a full wolf silver an still kill him and I needed that knife out soon and to pump him full of a medicine that kills the silver poison. Closing my eyes, I yanked the blade out of his side and winced as he let out a small pain filled groan. I pressed a cloth against the wound to stop the blood that began to pour forth from it.
I quickly injected the anti-silver into his neck, knowing it would travel fastest there to where the silver was killing off his blood cells. My hands were covered in the boy's blood now as I removed the cloth and quickly began stitching up the deep blade wound. The knife long forgotten on the floor as I tried to do everything I could to keep him alive. Then I noticed, he wasn't breathing.
I had no choice but to use my powers now. Closing my eyes and gently placed my hand above the boy's still heart. The golden surge of the power of the White surged through me as golden light filled the room with a light brighter than the sun. My energy diminishing as I fed a small peice of my soul into the boy. The light faded and so did my vision as once again I fell to the floor unconcious.
I came too with the morning sun shining bright onto my face. Opening my eyes I saw Tyler standing at the foot of my bed, leaning on the bedpost that held up the large midnight blue canopy suspended above me. It was the first time I got to pause and really look at Tyler.
He had long, jet black hair and saphire eyes that had concern etched into the very thought of them. He was taller than me by a good few inches and his tan muscles showed quite well against the tight black shirt he had on that clung just tightly enough for me to see hard abs hidden beneath the fabric, and faded, torn jeans hung on his hips.
I sat up slowly as he walked to my side and sat on the bed. He wrapped his arms tightly around me and hugged me to his chest as he whispered ' Thank you.' in my ear. I didn't bother to push him away, so I gave him a small hug in return just before he let go.
" Is the boy okay?" I asked as I stood up and walked to my closet.
"Yeah, John woke up and he's doing fine. Says his side hurts him a bit but thats about all." He said staying on my bed.
"My side would fucking hurt too, if I had to ride on a wolf's back forty miles with a silver blade practically buried in my side." I replied from in my closet as I changed into black jeans and one of my old tank top which I forgot to remember would give Tyler a full on veiw of a small wolf paw birthmark on my left tit above my heart.
"Good point!" He said laughing as I walked out of the closet brushing my hair.
I smiled, watching his saphires eyes dance as he laughed. Every little thing he did made my heart flutter faster than a hummingbird's wing. Why was I feeling this way about a boy I only just met. I slipped on the locket that held a picture of my parents, it was my good luck charm.
"How's the girl?" I asked looking at him in the mirror of my vanity table in the corner of my room as I continued to brush my hair.
"Jasmine, is doing good too, your brother, Devan, gave her some medicine for the bruises since you blacked out after healing John." He replied meeting my gaze in the mirror.
"Hey! Cut me some slack! I was still weak from silver poisoning myself!" I said defensively only causing him to laugh again.
I stood from my vanity and walked out of my room and downstairs to the kitchen. My brothers couldn't fend for themselves at all in the morning so I did all the cooking, just to be a good baby sister. Going into the living room as I left bacon to fry I noticed that Cody and Devan had left a mess of beer bottles and crushed chips on the carpet from watching the football game the night before.
Walking upstairs and into their rooms, I grabbed them by the hair and dragged them back down the stairs to of chorus of painfilled protests. I didn't care, they left a mess their asses could clean it up. Throwing them into the living room, I told them that they better clean it up or they can starve for the rest of the day. I walked back into the kitchen to find Tyler sitting at the table with the same boy and girl from the day before talking to them about finding a place to live.
"Tyler, if you'd like y'all can stay here. We have plenty of room here." I said as I pulled the bacon from the pan and sat it on a plate and flipped the sausage patties I had cooking in another.
"Are you sure, I mean, we can find a place to stay I'm sure." Tyler said looking at me in shock.
"Nah, y'all can stay here and I'll have my wolves build each of you a house within my borders. Y'all can stay in one until you are ready to move into your own." I said as I flipped pancakes on a griddle.
He smiled as I continued cooking and they all looked up as Cody and Devan's voices drifted from the living room.
"Star! C'mon it'll take us forever to clean this up, let us eat!" they yelled.
"Oh, stop being lazy you idiots, clean it up you made the mess you clean it, I'm your baby sister not your slave." I yelled back at them as I continued to cook.
They walked in about ten minutes later, glaring at me, but they stopped when they saw I made their favorite breakfast. I smiled as I set plates in front of all of them and kissed Devan and Cody on the cheek. I never really ate breakfast so I walked out and into the training room, hooking up my stereo and blaring my favorite songs as I started training.
I'd been training almost an hour when I heard the door open. Looking up from shooting arrows at a target I saw Tyler leaning against the wall, just watching me.
"Do you need something, Tyler?" I asked as I put my bow and quiver of arrows on a rack beside me.
"No, I just wanted to know if you'd train me." He replied a little shyly.
"Ok." I said
We spent the next four hours training. I had to admit he was pretty good. Ya know, for a half-blood.
