~Chapter 9~

After getting to our next destination, we got into our hotel room and went back to sleep. I felt super drained from dealing with all that mess. I texted Grey and told her to let me know when they made it back home to Starkville. Rolling back over, I put my head on Kent's chest to go to sleep. I found comfort like no other when I was in his arms.

"Breathe with me," I softly said.

It was so easy for us to fall in sync with one another. I could feel that pull. Knowing we needed to do this, I let it happen. He had gone on four walks already. I went on them all the time. I always saw my Nana. She was my guide always giving me advise. I wondered if she would be waiting on me this time. Feeling him behind me, I held my hand out. He took it and stepped up beside me.

Looking over and up, I smiled at him.

"Hi."

"Hey baby."

"You ready?"
"I'm ready."

"Let's see who is waiting for us."

We walked through the veil and into the light. There stood my Nana and someone I didn't know. He was a handsome fella. Looked similar to Kent. Maybe that is who he saw when he came here on his own.

"Hey Nana," I said and hugged her.

"My sweet girl," she said and hugged me.

"Hey Pops," Kent said and hugged the man.

"Kent, my boy, how are you?"
"I'm good."

"We've been waiting for you to come together," Nana said.

"Well, Azalea sent us a message to come. I'm not sure how we did, but here we are."

"Were you touching?"
"Yes ma'am."

"That's all it takes. Just a link."

"Oh, well, here we are. What is so important that we needed to come together?"
"It is almost time for the babies to be born," Nana said.

"Yes, I know it's getting close. Is she going to be able to give birth naturally?"

"With your help, yes. But, that's not the important part."

"So, what is the important part?"

"Everything that you ever thought was a myth or make believe, it's real."

"I've figured that out, Nana. There are several different entities that are after this child. I need to know why."

"This child is special, very special."

"So after this child is born, where am I supposed to take him?"
"Journey must give birth outside. You must be prepared to leave immediately with the child. Kent must go with you. That's why you both are here."

"Why must I go with her?"

"Because that child must have one of it's biological parents with him, Kent."

"Wait, what?"
"The boy is yours, Kent."

Well, that's a bombshell! Kent had been honest with me and told me he had been intimate with Journey, but this was on another level.

"What about the twin girls," I asked.

"Those belong to Travis. The two of you will leave as soon as the children are born. You cannot make the mistake of staying."

"Where will we go, Nana? How will we protect him?"

"Remember how I just told you everything you ever thought was a myth or make believe?"
"Yes ma'am."
