I wake before Prim, turning over to see her hair covering her face. I sigh before getting up, tossing anything I can find of mine into my bag before walking out of her room. It would be better for the chaos to happen at my house, where I could zone it out.
I walk down her staircase, passing guards until I'm all the way out of their house. I double tap my car door, unlocking it, before getting in and driving home.
Running away wouldn't do me any good, the De Luca family was notorious for getting what they wanted. There was no doubt Slater would cheat, most mafia men don't. Although, I've never heard rumours about his father and his mother having affairs.
I zone out until I arrive back at my mansion. Tossing my bag over my shoulder, I pull my hair behind my ear and walk up to the door.
To no surprise, it's unlocked.
The maids rush to endlessly clean the place, just as they do every day. I walk past them and go straight to my room, locking myself in.
I do my morning routine, finally finding peace in the silence and cleanliness.
I'm drying my hair when I hear the doorbell ringing, no doubt the hair and makeup assistants.
"Let them in." I shout, loud enough for the maids to hear.
I soon hear them making their way up the stairs and knocking on my door.
"Good morning." they say as they enter, shutting the door behind them.
"Good morning." I mumble back, making my way to my vanity so they could get started.
They straighten my hair over and over again until it's pin straight, just to lightly curl the hair framing my face.
"That's enough." I say when one of them starts trying to apply makeup onto me.
"Ms.Silas, we were paid for both hair and makeup-" one of them says.
"Not my problem, find your way out." I say getting out of my vanity seat and opening my door.
They make their way out silently, knowing complaining would make it worse.
I go back to my vanity, putting on my own mascara and clear lip gloss. The less, the better.
I'm almost done sliding on a dress when I hear a knock on my door.
"Ms.Silas, we are here to pack." one of the maids say.
I pick up my phone and keys from my dresser before walking out of my room door, leaving it open for the maid. Checking the time, I realize it's already 2:30.
"Shit." I say to myself.
I rush to my car, hopping in and speeding over to the venue where I was supposed to be a half hour ago.
Speeding the entire time, I made it to the venue in 20 minutes, rushing inside.
Just like anything this family did, the venue was extravagant. Tall ceilings, million dollar chandeliers, even the servers were covered in designer clothes.
I rush to the backroom, where I know my dress is going to be. Opening the door, I see women rushing, panicking to get everything perfect.
"Ms.Silas, please, come stand here." one of them says, gesturing towards a step stool.
I follow her instructions and look in the mirror in front of me as they prepare the dress. I begin to undress, knowing it's time. Throwing my clothes to the side, I step into the dress as the women hold it open for me.
They adjust it to my arms, waist, and tighten it in the back.
It truly was a gorgeous dress, God knows the cost. Crystals spread across the soft fabric, telling me its handsewn.
