Time Skip Dawn is now 16

"Dawn what's wrong sweetpea" Esme had not seen Dawn so distraught since they first adopted her

"Go away" Dawn sobbed her face berried deep in her pillow, Esme was taken aback Dawn had always told her everything

"Oh Dawn what has gotten you in such a state"

"Why do you care I am just a freak"

"Oh no my love you're not a freak, who said that"

"Chicos en la escuela" (Some boys at school) Dawn had learnt Spanish on one of the many trips to Alaska, to the Denali's

"Dawn mi hermosa angel no eres rara" (my beautiful angel you are no freak) Esme cupped her daughter's cheeks in her hands. Dawn sat there for hours cradled in her mother's arms

Down the stairs, a plot was in being planed

"We need to find out who said that" Emmett's child face became cold and mean

"We are not killing anyone" Alice stated "Carlisle would be able to pin it on us and he would be so disappointed"

"It would be worth it nobody calls my sister a freak" growled Rosalie

Carlisle came home a few hours later with a feeling that something was wrong, as soon as he stepped through the door the sinking feeling intensified.

He sped to Dawns room, upon entering he saw his wife cradling his daughter as, if she were a baby, sobbing. Silently he made his way to the bed before placing himself next to Esme, he lightly planted his hand on Dawn's back making circular motions.

"Dawn" as soon as he said her name, she flung her arms around his neck

"Your home early" she croaked her voice horse from crying

"I wanted to see you, why are you crying" he gently pressed

"Some boys at school called me a freak" Carlisle was shocked that anyone would say that

"Sweetheart, you are beautiful, kind and talented" she blushed at the complement

"They saw my gift" she mumbled before yawning and falling asleep on his shoulder.

Dawn's gift had blossomed like the flowers she grew. By the time she was twelve, she could grow trees revive dead plants and heal the plants that we damaged or had been picked. Her family encouraged her to use her gift as much as she wanted to at home but in public it was a different story people could be afraid of her gift or try to harm her.

Everyone gathered in the living room, all disturbed at what Dawn was called when Alice was dragged into a vision

"Freak no wonder why your parents didn't want you" a boy around Dawn's age shouted as he pushed her to the floor
"I am not a freak" Dawn shouted back before getting to her feet
"Whoever told you that, " another boy said before pushing her back down, triggering the two of them and another boy to start beating her. Dawn screamed out for help but no one came "that should teach you not to talk back" the boys walked away laughing, leaving Dawn sobbing in pain and fear

Alice was pulled from the vision screaming. "Alice what did you see"

"I think Dawn is being beaten up at school"

Without missing a beat Carlisle and Esme ran to Dawn's room to wake her up "Dawn your alright, your okay" both Carlisle and Esme wrapped the sobbing girl in their arms

Carlisle slowly lifted her shirt to reveal a painting of bruises, some were handprints, shoe prints others were misshapen blobs "Sweetheart I need you to tell me who did this"

Dawn stade silent until she knew she could not escape answering the question "it was the boys"

"What are their names" Esme took Dawn's hands in hers

"Ian Smith, Theodore Monk and David Brown"

"You're not going back to that school again I will homeschool you from now on."
