I ran as far from home as I could. They must be joking, the word was swimming in my head and drowning my thoughts 'vampire'.
I soon found myself walking along a beach, I was not sure of where I was but I didn't care I just needed to be by myself. I sat down on the sandy shore, I took off my shoes allowing the wet sand and cold water to wash over my feet.
My peace was disturbed by a boy "are you alright" I turned to look at him, he looked around 16 his skin was a russet, his hair a raven black and his eyes were like melted chocolate I became lost in his gaze. My heart leapt and my cheeks warmed up.
"Um... yeah I... um... I needed to clear my thoughts" I explained to him
"Do you want me to go and leave you in peace" the thought of him leaving me was like someone had kicked me in the chest
"No, you can stay" his mouth curled into the perfect smile
"I'm Seth by the way Seth Clearwater"
"Dawn Cullen" his smile dropped for a second before he asked
"As in Dr Carlisle Cullen"
"Yes he is my father, that's not a problem is it"
"N-no of course not" we continued talking for hours, I avoided telling him about my family being vampires.
Seth is kind, sweet, childish, cheerful, if I had to pick one word to describe him it would be perfect. He makes me feel things that I had never felt before. I was not paying attention to the time "your parents will be worried about you, we have been out here for hours"
I looked around for the first time breaking contact with Seth's eyes the sun had been replaced by the moon reflecting on the still waves "my parents are going to be so angry"
"I'll walk you home" Seth offered making me blush. A cold breeze cut through me making me shiver without saying anything Seth took of his jacket letting it rest on my shoulders.
"Dawn" I heard my mum and dad's worried voices call, terrified of the consequences of my hours out of home without telling anyone I instinctively grabbed Seth's hand. "Dawn we were so worried" my mum ran to my side, soon after my dad stepped into the clearing
"I am sorry Mrs Cullen, Dr Cullen for keeping Dawn for hours we have been talking, I am Seth Clearwater" he extended his hand which my dad accepted
"Please call me Carlisle, thank you Seth for keeping my daughter safe"
"See you around Dawn" I hugged him and planted a kiss on his cheek, he blushed before retreating back through the forest.
