Park Seo Joon POV:
His training academy eventually closed around six in the evening.
Standing at the stairwell, Seo Joon
considered for a brief second before he moved again. Instead of retreating to his apartment on the floor above, however, Seo Joon left the building, hailed a cab and headed over to a different part of the city for a quick dinner. The heat waves still lingered even though the sun had long since sunken down the horizon. And this particular part of the town was still alive and bustling, busy as ever. The shops lining up the streets were still opened and running, despite the late hour and summer heat.
After a few minutes of wandering around the busy street, Seo Joon entered a restaurant. He spent twenty-five minutes there waiting for his order to arrive and finishing it all up, all while thinking of what to do next to waste the hours away.
Once he was done eating, Seo Joon paid for the food, promptly left the restaurant and headed over to the nearest convenience store. Maybe he should often dine in instead of eating at the studio as it is more comfortable for him and Seo Joon doesn't need to worry about Nam-Bok and the stuttering twin wanting to eat his food even without him offering.
Yep, how rude and unmannered.
His supply of beer was running out now that he remembered. Seo Joon grabbed a few cans of beer from the fridge and add in a few more, knowing that Jong Woo likes drinking them as he always saw him drinking at the rooftop alone.
Seo Joon then added in other snacks and stuff that looked even remotely interesting to him, and brought them over to the cash register. The continuous beeping sound of the scanner filled the quiet store until a young couple walked in.
Seo Joon watched, expressionless, as they walked over to the aisle behind him and stopped for a while to grin and giggle, whispering to each other inane things Seo Joon had no intention of hearing.
"Oppa, when you're going to meet my parents?"
"What? Don't you think it's too soon?"
"What do you mean it's too soon?! Oppa, it's been a year since we dated. Are you even serious with me?
"Can we talk about this later?"
Seo Joon lips pressed together and thought to himself, If your partner doesn't want to meet your parents means they're not really into you. They don't see a future with you.
Leave him.
He's not worth of your time.
The cashier informed him of the total price and without any words, he paid the amount. Seo Joon walked out of the convenience store before long with two plastic bags full of useless stuff in both hands.
There was a commotion not far away from where he was walking. Curious, Seo Joon paused and turned away to the direction of the noise. Two men were brawling at the parking lot - one with a clenched fist in the air, the other with arms weakly blocking his face. People started to form a crowd around them, watching with their brows furrowed and eyes widened at the scene unfolding in front of them. A few recorded it with their phones while some muttered things under their breaths.
Shouldn't they call the authorities or something? Break out the fight before it gets worse and somebody dies? Wasn't that what civilized members of society with ethics and compassion was supposed to do when faced with this kind of situation?
Seo Joon raised his eyebrows at them. He supposed it was not really surprising to see this sort of reaction since there's always a fight at this area, especially when there's a club nearby.
