Moon Jo took a deep drag and exhaled the smoke into the air, watching it disappear in the cloud of smoke above his booth while eyeing the new tenant walking from across the street. He stood tall, wearing a green windbreaker jacket, dark blue jeans and has a chestnut haircut. Smile plastered on his face as he head towards Eden Studio with both of his hands carrying a plastic bags, probably buying food to eat for lunch.
It was hard to judge the man age from his appearance but he was certainly over twenty and considerably under thirty. He looked hard and fit, like a man who could be a serviceable friend or a particularly unpleasant enemy.
Moon Jo didn't trust him, not even one bit.
Living in a roof with a soon-to-be police officer is never a good thing. Matter of fact, this guy will only complicate things. Moon Jo agreed with Jong-woo, they need to ensure that everything is under control and cannot afford to make any mistakes but even if this new tenant did not suspect anything, it's only matter of time until he get torture and killed.
Just like he did to his other victims. But it wasn't him who did all the killing, it was the three tenants and the reason was simply because he didn't want to get his hands dirty but he won't hesitate to do it, if someone touches his partner.
Moon Jo he is not like other serial killers who kill someone just satisfy their "sick" fantasies. He's creating art. Moon Jo kept his victims teeth as a collection and placed them in his luxury suitcase in his room. He's planning to make a bracelet out of it and gave it to Jong-woo as a gift of appreciation.
For loving him.
For being him.
And becomes what they feared and embraced his inner demon and lives among monsters.
Mostly his victims were the previous tenants who lived in Eden Studio and so far, no one has successfully make it out alive. Nobody has suspected anything because he planned every single detail beforehand, so the victims were either reported to be missing or they committed suicide.
"Annyeonghaseoyo." Seo-joon approached him with a gentle smile, "I lived in this building and I assumed you're a tenant here as well?"
Moon Jo didn't respond instead he gave him a blank stare.
"Can you please pick it up." Seo-joon said, his voice still firm but gentle.
"I hope you're aware that littering is a serious offence and you could be fine up to 25,000 won."Moon stood up and grabbed his beer. Then he lit a cigarette, Moon-jo studied his face with mocking eyes, and his mouth twisted into a humorless smile. "No." He blow sweet smoke into Seo-joon's face.
"Well, I'm not going anywhere till you pick it up." Seo-joon narrowed his eyes. "Please be a responsible person and throw it in the-"
"Don't tell me what to fucking do." Moon Jo kept his voice firm and cold, unwilling to give on either point. "And I would keep my shut if I were you."
"Excuse me?" Seo-joon blinked his eyes, "Littered cigarette butts stick around for a long time and leach toxic chemicals such as arsenic into the environment, leading to land, water and air pollution. You're a grown adult, you should know this."
Moon Jo gave him death stare, clearly annoyed with the presence of the man that stood infront of him. In this moment, If they were not in the public place right now, Moon Jo would definitely rip his eyeballs off or stab him several times in the face for speaking too much. It's only a few seconds of meeting him and he already hated this man.
They glared at each other for a long moment before Seo-joon gritted his teeth and lowered his gaze in reluctant deference. With a heavy sigh, Seo-joon picks up the butt and threw it in the nearest bin before heading into the apartment.
Once Seo-joon reached Eden Studio, he immediately went into the kitchen, took out the take-away food that he brought earlier from the plastic bag and place it on table.
As he was placing the food the table, his mind couldn't stop thinking about his encounter with the 'weird' man earlier. The tall and long-haired guy were not only ill-mannered but selfish and irresponsible. The fact that Seo-joon approached and talked to him nicely but he responded very rudely to him.
What the hell is his problem?
Seo-joon could sense that man is dangerous. His eyes were stiff, devoid of emotion.
He was glancing at him in a threatening manner and if looks could kill, he would be dead by now. Seo-joon wasn't planning to make an enemy on his first week living in this apartment, that's the least thing that he wanted but guess fate wasn't on his side. Maybe he should mind his own business next time.
Seo-joon was deep in his thoughts when suddenly he saw Jong-woo coming out from his room. "Jong-woo!" Seo-joon shouted his name to catch his attention and when Jong-woo look at him, smile plastered across his face.
Seo-joon wave his hands, signaling him to come over. "Have you eaten lunch yet? I bought a lot of food and thought of sharing it with you."
Jong-woo walk towards him with a blank expression, "But I'm not hungry."
Seo-joon slightly frowned, "Ah....."
Jong-woo chuckled, "I'm just kidding, which one is mine?" He asked curiously as he sat on the opposite side of table.
"H-Here is your one, I brought you spicy yangnyeom chicken. You can handle spicy food, right? I also bought cold kimchi noodle soup." Seo-joon silently cursed his own stupidity for stuttering.
"Yeah, it's fine. I love spicy food." Jong-woo said as he eat rapidly, stuffing his mouth too full.
Seo-joon watch him eat, If there ever were a word to describe the way be looked the english language would have suffered under its weight. He wasn't handsome or sexy but somehow more than that. He was magnetic, captivating, disarming, compelling, destructive. He was achingly beautiful, painfully seductive. Jong-woo was enthralling.
An undignified "What?" escapes Jong-woo's mouth, the word misshapen at the point of impact.
Seo-joon eyes widened, "Oh, n-nothing, I'm just glad you liked the food." He said, touching the back of his neck.
Suddenly out of the blue, the stuttering twin enter the kitchen and Seo-joon saw him looking at their table, eyeing the food while rubbing his stomach.
He must be hungry, Seo-joon thought. Feeling guilty Seo-joon quickly offered him some of his food but the stuttering twin looked at Jong-woo, as if he was waiting for his approval. Jong-woo then nod and signal him to join them. The stuttering twin happily walk towards them and sat next to him. He ate so noisily, slurping his soup like some kind of vacuum cleaner. Then, showing no signs of embarrassment he wiped his mouth on his sleeve and belched.
Grimace of disgust, Joon-woo began to turn away and stood up from his seat. "He made me lose my appetite." Jong-woo simply say before walking away from them.
Seo-joon sighed, as he stared at Jong-woo's back. He didn't even thank him and why did he offer his food to the stuttering twin again?
"Y-You l-liked him isn't it?" The stuttering twin giggled, still chewing the food in his mouth.
Seo-joon roll his eyes as it wasn't a pleasant view to look at.
"No." Seo-joon firmly stated, "I just find him interesting and he seems normal compared to the rest of the people here. Especially you."
The stuttering twin laughed, "W-What? I-I'm n-not normal? then what do you t-think I am?"
Seo-joon put his finger on his chin, pretending to think. "Well, you're probably a psychopath.."
Lady Eom walk into the kitchen and stood next to Seo-joon, frowning.
"You know.....the worst psychopath is the one that doesn't kill with his own hands."
