Chapter Six
That night, I slept with a huge smile on my face.
Pero nawala din iyon pag-gising ko when I learned that Calvin didn't reply or sent any message to me after they went home last night.
I looked at his jacket which I put on the couch.
Tamad ko itong inabot at saka niyakap.
"Good morning..." I greeted as if si Calvin talaga iyon.
I giggled at the thought.
'With great power comes great electricity bill.'

I lazily put my phone on the night stand beside my bed and went back to hugging Calvin's jacket after sending him a message.
It's a weekend so I plan to stay on my bed longer.
Wala rin naman kaming lakad nila Mom so stay at home lang talaga ako the whole weekend.
Patulog na ulit ako when my phone beeped because of a notification.
I quickly got up and picked up my phone.
Excited kong binuksan ang message.
Calvin: Good morning! Sorry I didn't get back to you last night. Just went out with the fam.
Hindi ko mapigilan ang ngiti ko habang nagcocompose ng isasagot ko sa kanya.
Me: Okay lang. Hope you had fun. 🙂
Calvin: Yeah, thanks.
OMG.
Kung mag-usap kami ay parang close talaga kami. Pero kapag kaharap ko siya, wala akong lakas ng loob na kausapin siya.
Me: Just thought kinuha ka na ni Annabelle.
Lumipas ang ilang minuto and hindi na ulit siya nagreply.
Mahina kong binatukan ang sarili ko.
Why did I even open up that topic?
He's scared, I already know that. So why did I tell him that?
I sighed.
Huwag ko nang asahang magte-text pa siya ulit.

Me: Have a great weekend!
Padabog akong nahiga ulit sa kama. Not expecting him to reply anymore.
Is he mad?
Calvin: I will. May tryouts ang freshmen today at school.
Me: You'll be there?
Calvin: Yeah, so I'm slightly busy for the day.
I pouted as I read his message.
Ngayon nga lang kami nakapag-usap ng ganito katagal tapos mabibitin pa dahil sa tryouts.
Me: That's okay if you enjoy what you do.
Calvin: Seems you are right. 🙃
Gosh! What should I say para our conversation will be longer pa?
Should I tell him I loved his piano performance last night?
