Astrid's low purr of a voice was the first thing Draco heard a few mornings later. The questions of how or why she was in his room didn't even properly manage to get through to him when she had already called out a 'good morning' and he had greeted her back just the same.

Draco rolled over in his bed and the dark silk sheets ruffled with the movement. Eyes still closed, he yawned and then listened to the sound of Ninomae's quiet footsteps. Were they walking closer or further, he could not yet tell.

It had been another dreamless night - one of many the lad had. So when he opened his eyes, becoming aware of his surroundings for the first time that early morning the idea that perhaps this all was a dream rushed into his mind almost instantly.

It was dark in the room, only the light from the open bathroom door by which Astrid stood illuminating her form. It was even darker yet outside. Astrid stood by his bathroom, nothing but a towel hugging her body and Draco could not quite comprehend what was happening.

The boy rubbed his tired eyes and rolled over to the side, searching for a watch of any sort only to realize he could find none. Did he even have a clock in his room?

"What are you doing?" questioned Draco, returning his gaze to her sideway leaned form and Astrid smirked. He tried not to but there was no chance he could not mirror her expression.

Astrid let go of holding the towel and Draco's breathing got a little heavier as he watched her do a small turn to walk right up against the bathroom door and push it open wider with both her hands. Draco rubbed his eyes again and propped him up on his elbows to see her better. He could still see the rings on her fingers and with a sadder sigh wondered when would come the time she wouldn't depend on those pieces of jewellery as much. The same as he realized it was most probable he was not dreaming.

"I'm having a shower," Astrid looked at him intently before turning away and stepping into the bathroom with a mischievous smile. Inside, she leaned against the doorframe and the contrast of the lightning brought out the outline of the body he could no longer ignore.

Draco closed his eyes, trying to process what was happening. It was too early for him to comprehend anything at all.

"In my- In my bathroom-" he paused to rub his eyes again, and wet his lips. "Am I still dreaming?"

Astrid laughed. "Oh, so this is what you dream of, huh?"

Draco frowned. "Astrid, you know I-" he paused again and rubbed his forehead with his fingers. "Bloody fuck what are you trying to do?"

Thoughts of her clouded his brain all too often simply as it was - especially now with the way she had kissed him right before falling out of the bloody window. Her coming into his room looking like that was straight-up torturous.

"I'm just having a shower," the girl repeated with a shrug.

"Here?" Draco yawned. "What time even is-"

"The pipe in my bathroom broke and began leaking. So I had to come here."

It was an obvious lie. He narrowed his eyes. The lie sounded weirdly rehearsed and he wondered if perhaps there was an underlying meaning behind her words.

What was she even doing there? Clearly, the girl wanted to drive him out of his mind. Clearly, no pipe had begun leaking and she was just trying for a reaction from him.

Draco leaned forward and his face fell against his hands. "We talked about this-"

Though the boy looked back up just as quickly once he heard the door to the bathroom shut.
